Congratulations, Smoke Signals; no less rapturous applause to tk and Jean Lúcio, whose own artistic contributions could have put them in the running for this award, if this is what they're capable of. The presentation is a considerable improvement on the last attempt I recall at such a speech format.

Yay, I'm glad you guys enjoyed the slide show video! Since it's the 13th Award and all, I figured why not make it a bit more interesting - I also needed a major break from IRL stuff, so yeah.
Congrats again to SMOKE SIGNALS! Hoping to see more of your artwork on here in the near future.
Jean Lucio - thank you for posting the banner in image form - you're right, it's better, people can easily see it. Hermes & Sherry Ann - so was the penthouse like, exactly like the shoutbox? Just people chatting with each other? Was there a video chat option??

Thank you all for attending the Germies Awards this year. I was designated as the presenter of the Best New Member award, since I was nominated last year as Best New Member (unfortunately the last winner of this award was unable to attend this year ).
Being a neophyte in a secret organization is a big challenge. You need to decide whether you are just going to observe, whether you are going to act like everyone else, or whether you are going to try to cause changes in the organization. We were all neophytes once, and we made our debut here with a greater or lesser impact on the organization. That is why the award for Best New Member is so important. Because you know that you will be rewarded if you manage to stand out in something here, you will try to do something different, innovative, impactful, creative, fun, or simply notorious, as soon as you start.
catastrophist is evidently someone very important to every ASOUE fan. I will not reveal his secret identity here, but we are all very grateful for his work on the Netiflix series. Still, life is very difficult around here, and it is a catastrophe (maybe a Hermedy) that someone like that got only 1 point. I hope he doesn't abandon us for that. There have been other people who have made great contributions to the ASOUE universe and have not won this award, simply because there were other people who were even more sensational than such, so do not be discouraged Catrosphist. I'm sure your only vote was from a fan who was aware of your great work.
emiliedenouement made a very nice debut in our organization, focusing on what every volunteer should privilege. She started a book club, and made some of us read classics from world literature. She also asked interesting questions, which made us argue and fight with each other, which we all agree is what we most like to do. Despite this, she received only two votes. But I am sure that people who felt touched by her way (her way of being is a loving arsonist [unintentional, but very effective!]) recognized her constructive and destructive potential.
And finally, we had the great champion. With a controversial, disturbing and yet interesting method, TheAsh made us read ASOUE through another point of view. (or at least some of us, or at least one of us). He made interesting theories, and he was an excellent victim of criticism (And like Leonardo diCaprio, he survived the attack of a ferocious mammal). This is a good way to stand out. You received 6 votes and were classified as the Best New Member of the last year.
Congratulations TheAsh!Thank you so much guys! i'm incredibly honored! (Unfortunately, I'm also incredibly busy, so I'm not posting that much at the moment, but don't worry - I do have some stuff in store!) I really appreciate it! I'm a very flattered dude!

Hello, hello, hello, 667ers. I'm honored to present the award for Best Profile Decoration, and as the token member of the Netflix Generation among this year's presenters, the cast of the delightful netflix adaptation will be assisting with the dreadful information enclosed. The nominees for this award are as follows: Catmet @jacobm Reba Dante Germes Cracky McTeague difugi Christmas Chief tk You Look Lost That's a lot of people! Unusually, every single one was nominated by Jean Lucio, aside from Mister M. You're probably wondering why he gathered you all here... Why, to judge you on your surface appearance before all your peers, of course! Most of the nominees were summarily dispatched with 0 votes; in that category: Reba Dante Germes difugi Christmas Chief tk Sorry guys. Onwards and upwards! In third place, with 1 vote: Comet! Changing to reflect recent turbulent times with the name "Stay-at-homet" (a pertinent reminder), he even did his part to reduce the infection rate by adorning his profile picture with a mask. Health and safety, however, honorable as it is, was not enough to secure first place. Better luck next year! Next up, taking second place with 2 votes: Mister M, whose avatar is currently adorned with a duck as a symbol of his love and devotion to Anka. It's very cute. But that's not enough to win this year! Now, those of you who have been counting will notice that there are two people left, and only one first place position. This is because - gasp - we have a tie! Without any further ado, with three votes each, the joint winners for Best Profile Decoration are: Willis and Terry Craig!! Willis wins for his signature signature shenanigans, and Terry Craig for his intruiging and spectacular avatar. Congratulations, both of you, and please enjoy the banner, made by the inimitable Jean Lucio:

Best Potential Quarantine Buddy - This is Sherry Ann's third award, having previously won Most Consistent in 2011, and Most Valued Poster in 2013. Surprsingly she hasn't won Best Volunteer, which is surprising as, well, you would have expected her too!
Best Artist - Smoke Signals becomes the 10th person to win Best Artist. - Terry Craig secures his position with the all-time highest votes for Best Artist, with 28 in total.
Best Profile Decoration - This is Terry Craig's 4th win at this award, tying him with Bandit for the all-time record. It is Terry's 11th award, 5th in the all-time rankings. - This is Willis' 1st win for best profile decoration, but his 12th overall. His other wins are for Best Story (3 times), Best Writer (3 times), Most Valued Poster (2 times), Best Pairing (2 times), and Best Thread. - This is Willis' 1st win since 2013

Congratulations! I'm glad Terry won, so he can change his avatar art. I want to seize the moment, and thank Sherry Ann for the accessories for my avatar. It's amazing how a tuxedo and a cage make you look like someone else.

Congratulations, Terry and Willis! I’m glad we get to see both of you fulfill your campaign promises for an all new look and second lamp, respectively.
Thanks to our Class Historian also for the stats. I feel like I’m watching the Oscars and the World Cup simultaneously.
You’re welcome, Jean Lucio!

And now it is my turn. While most awards honour the achievement of an individual, Best Thread is more about what we do as a community; although the award goes to the thread-starter, everyone who posts in the thread conctributes to its value, and shares in the honour which the award brings. Among this year's notable threads have been: ,I., by Terry Craig, an exciting game about emoticons, and one of last year's winners. 667 in the Time of COVID-19, by Sherry Ann, in which she shared her gratitude to 667, and gave others the opportunity to do the same. Bird up; a thread about birds, by Terry Craig, an interesting collection of pictures, videos and poetry about birds, largely by last year's Best Pairing, Terry and Bear. Guys vs Girls, by tk, a classic game that has recently had a massive revival, though with some confusion about the gender of those involved. The Feel Free to Post Whatever You Like Thread, by Sora, one of the oldest threads on the board, which after a time of neglect has gained a new lease of life, as the place of choice to discuss the impact of the COVID crisis and our experiences in it. And the winner is
a tie!
667 in the Time of COVID-19
and
The Feel Free to Post Whatever You Like Thread.
Congrats Sherry Ann and Sora (and everyone)!
(Banners will follow soon.)

GERMIES BEST ARTIST AWARD 2020
Video transcription:DISEMBODIED VOICE:
Ladies and gentlemen of 667 Dark Avenue, it is now time for the Best Artist Award to be presented. Let it be known that the award presenter thought of this idea approximately 12 hours before the award was to be presented, so please do excuse the sub-par animation, the dingy stock photos, and the questionable royalty-free background music. And for those who, for some reason, cannot view the video, fret not – a transcription of this video is provided down below so you don’t miss anything!] Now that that’s out of the way…welcome to the stage, the award presenter, tk! tk:
Hello everyone, I hope you’re having a nice day! First of all, I’d like to congratulate all the winners so far – I’m sure it’s all very well-deserved! I’d also like to congratulate the award presenters as well as banner-makers for doing a phenomenal job at making this year’s Awards a memorable one. Now, onwards with the show! Art is undeniably something powerful, something that can bring people together. I myself discovered this forum in 2009 through the fan arts posted by members who are now long-gone. Since then, I’ve seen many more talented artists pass through the site, each posting either delightful fan arts or original arts, or both! So now, I am here to present the Best Artist Award to one member of the site, who has shown great artistic talent in the last year. Here are the nominees: 1. SMOKE SIGNALS 2. TERRY CRAIG 3. VIOLET BUN FORTUNA Sorry for resizing all your artworks, folks, but WHOA those are some AMAZING fan arts! Even though we shall have only one winner today, know that you are all very talented and that your art helps liven up this slowly-dying forum in a major way. And now, the Best Artist Award goes to… SMOKE SIGNALS!
Congratulations! Your depiction of Violet with her head on fire is truly amazing and cryptic, and amazingly cryptic. Please find your banner under the spoiler tags below.
Well, folks! I hope you had fun watching this video – I’m just trying to distract you all because I can’t write a good opening speech like the rest of you lol I hope you all have a great day, and maybe I’ll see you soon in the Zoom Hangouts later (keyword here being “MAYBE” because 9PM GMT is like 5AM for me, so). BYE! Best Artist Banner (by Jean Lucio)Tk’s gonna get nominated for best artist next year for her best artist presentation this year

Hi everyone, I know I'm running late, sorry about that. Let me catch my breath. First off, a long line of congarats to all the winners! I love that the two winners for Best Thread are so relevant to these difficult times right now. And I definitely voted for the respective winners of Volunteer, Quarantine Buddy, Organizer, and Notorious. And thank you to those who voted for my profile decoration--an award I've always treasured. I'll make sure to update my profile in the next few days (even though it'll be hard to replace Sherry Ann's pretty decorations of my previous avatar), and I'm looking forward to Willis' second lamp. I'm also happy to have received any votes at all for Best Artist (thanks for the stats, MisterM!), since all I did was make a couple of banners last year; Smoke Signals is clearly the more appropriate winner this year. Oh, and I see Zortegus and Jean didn't include the winners' banner in their speeches, so I hope it's alright if I amend that here... Especially since, like Zort with Foxy's banner (but probably more so), the Most Notorious banner won't ever see any use: And I'm proud (and sorry to be late) to present Hermes' with his banner: Now, onto one of the last speeches... *shuffles notes* Just a sec...
