Aunt Josephine was my first thought because apart from the lessons taught through the character (living your life in fear isn't really living), she doesn't have a huge place within the overall story.

I think Dewey, because he knew so much valuable information that could have been shared, and I would have loved to see the Baudelaires continue his work in the underground library, just like he promised.

Wouldn't it be interesting to see how these characters (who are basically a duo who never appear alone) actually split up at some point? If one of them decided to separate from Olaf and another decided to stay with Olaf. It would be a very good schism. And it would be something I would like to read, even if it was a bonus arc.

Yes, the two white-faced women feel like such a singular entity for much of the series that at times it feels like they may as well have been one character. It would have been interesting to see DH develop and distinguish them a bit more, particularly in TSS.
