This is a game about quick assessment of hypotheses, headcanons, fanons and theories about ASOUE, ATWQ, LSTUA, TBL. If you like a certain statement (you don't have to believe it) you don't burn. If you don't like it, you burn and write down how you would burn that statement. Try to be creative in how to burn things. You can throw it in the fire, in the fireplace, or you can burn it in other fun ways. Just say what you do with that statement. After you burn (or not burn), you must make another statement. And someone else will judge. You don't need to explain your reasons. Just burn or not burn things.
I will start.
"Lemony Snicket lies on purpose in his narrative."
What do you do with that statement?

Not burn. I totally believe that!
Olaf was the one who started the Baudelaire fire.

I take this statement and re-enter it into the planetary atmosphere at the wrong angle.
"Lemony Snicket is Violet's biological father."
What do you do with that statement?

I’ll slip that thing in between the pages of that poor copy of Anna Karenina that Esmé Squalor threw into the fireplace.
VFD killed the parents of the Denouement triplets to stop them looking for their children.

I liked it. I don't burn. Not for now.
"Hypotonists disguised as ophthalmologists make people in the ASOUE universe believe in simple disguises."
Do you burn it or not?

I'll copy that onto my commonplace book; it may be useful later.
The sinister duo are actually siblings.

Added to my gigantic mental library of theories, ships and headcanons.
Lemony is a creepy stalker obsessed with Beatrice and her children.

I put this in the oven and I put the oven in the furnace, and I place the furnace on a volcano.
"Lemony Snicket did not publish any of the ASOUE books during the main events described in the books"

I find a science lab, look for an experiment into heating substances such as metal to the point where they become a gas, and throw that theory into the room where that experiment is taking place.
Esmé truly did care about Carmelita, and they are loyal to each other till the very end, which is not the Hotel Denouement fire, which they survived.

Oh ... This is really difficult ... I will tear this statement up into a few pieces.
Let me see... "Esmé truly did care about Carmelita" - I can keep it under my thigh. "they are loyal to each other till the very end" - I will keep this in my office, inside a secret compartment. "they survived" - Oh, yes ... This I will publish in a newspaper using a secret code so that all volunteers know.
"The Carmelita Submarine was stolen from a distinct VFD organization that created underwater war weapons in the shape of gigantic legendary animals."

I'll eye this statement with skepticism... but will then put it into a secret compartment for future reference.
Mr. Poe genuinely loved the Baudelaire children and cared about their well-being.

I lightly burn the part that talks about love, and write down the part that talks about taking care of them.
Lemony met an imposter at the Masked Ball, not the real Beatrice.

I build a time machine, put the theory in it, and send it to the disastrous future in which the planet is destroyed by terrible forest fires.
Esmé actually loved Jerome, and wasn’t just using him for his apartment.
P.S I have changed my profile picture in honour of the Netflix series and my two favourite characters, and also because I discovered that someone else had the same one as me.

I would take advantage of the trail of fire left by the time machine used in the previous answer to burn it.
The poem My Silence Knot was a secret message left to Lemony Snicket in order to warn him that Beatrice would one day fake her own death.

I’m putting that down in my commonplace book for when my parents finally let me buy TBL.
Quigley Quagmire was lying to the Baudelaires about his past.
