I feel like most Americans couldn't name the capitals of any foreign countries either, so that doesn't surprise me lol. But I wouldn't know about the elections of any country either other than maybe 3 or 4, and the US is obviously the one with the widest global influence. But then, I do not feel as invested or interested in something like f. ex. America's tax policies as an American citizen would.

the US is obviously the one with the widest global influence. Is this true? I feel like Russia or China takes the lead there.

It is true to a certain extent, I think T meant largest westernised/english speaking. The US has the largest media (and military influence), even though Russia and China are more powerful and influential, we don't hear as much from them because their media likes to keep things very hush hush.

It's also the case that the Russian and Chinese elections, at their highest levels, are essentially one-horse races managed by the state in which the result is never in doubt; Putin and the Chinese Communist Party are the only games in town. The U.S. is the only one of the three major powers in which the presidential election has a chance of producing dramatically different results.

I've been looking into some of these rankings. They're interesting, if not surprising. Lol, in a hang out earlier this year Sherry Ann thought the US was the biggest country in the world This is libel.

Okay, it maybe wasn't exactly that but it was something very America-centric and I had to remember being like 'Europe exists'

Imagine if he went "it is now illegal to dislike my acting!" Or, he could've also said, "Everyone MUST attend my double priced performances, or you will be sentenced to a lifetime in prison!"
