My favourite was Melanie Martinez’s After School EP. She is the only singer I remember (by name) from the one time I watched The Voice. I really liked her version of “Lights” at the time.

Haven't listened to enough 2020 music, but here it goes: Black Lips - Sing in a World That's Falling Apart King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard - Honey Gorillaz - Song Machine Season 1 (their best album since Plastic Beach imo) Nadine Shah - Kitchen Sink Caribou - Suddenly Only listened a few tracks, have yet to listen to the whole thing, but really liked what I heard so far: Bob Dylan - Rough and Rowdy Ways Fiona Apple - Fetch the Bolt Cutters Honorable mention: Sault - Untitled (Black Is) Kinda disappointed by: Fuzz - III Oh hey, forgot to comment on this. Very nice! Just finished listening to the second half of the release. Reminds me of 2000s indie like Of Montreal. I like how there's little to no reverb here, first albums usually have way too much. Maybe a little on the vocals wouldn't hurt, but it works this way too. The drums could use some compression, though. Did you both write lyrics or was that all your bandmate? The last two tracks might be my fav's, and Song for Herod has cool drums.

thanks for the feedback, broski. I actually wrote all the lyrics, while my buddy came up with almost all of the melodies. the main reason there’s almost no reverb is because I couldn’t figure out how 😂😂 I even had my buddy singing from the bottom of the basement staircase on a couple track.... ah well it was a fun learning experience, glad u like it.
