667’s 20th anniversary will be Wednesday, June 22, 2022. Regardless of what our active membership may look like at that time, I’m interested in making 2022 a reunion week(end?) where members past and present can stop by to remanence and share what they’ve been up to. I think old members would welcome a low-commitment way to say hello and possibly reconnect with members from their generation. The reason I’m making this post so far in advance is that it would take some time to accumulate a list of members and get save the dates out.
What are your thoughts?

That sounds like a Very Fun Day, do you have any ideas of how to get in contact? One of my admin powers is the ability to send a PM to everyone with an account. So if we sent that, say, two weeks from now, everyone who logged in over the course of the next year would have the invite. But I think my ideal is to branch out from those of us who have connections with offline members. E.g., @jacobm could probably get in touch with Rellim when things were ready.

Sounds great! Don't think I could be of any help with reaching out to anyone, though. Sending PMs many months in advance is a good idea, but I'd also recommend sending at least a second one out like a month beforehand.

I can support with this Christmas Chief, just give instructions. Would be amazing to get old members like Emma Squalor, Tiago, Cybermystery, PJ etc. who were at the 10th anniversary to drop by.

I love this idea. As a relative newcomer (as of the past couple of years), it would be fun to meet some members of days past.

I don't have contact with any old members, of course, but I would be more than happy to help out in any way that I can, Christmas Chief.

Ok great! It sounds like there’s support, so the next thing I’ll do is draft a universal PM / email and post it here for suggestions and edits.

Okay, here's a draft: -- Dear 667er, You are cordially invited to celebrate 667 Dark Avenue's 20th Anniversary and Reunion from June 19-June 25, 2022. Stop by to sign the guestbook, read the latest Snicket news, or simply reconnect with fellow volunteers. If you would like to receive a reminder about this event via email, please indicate that here. With all due respect, 667 Dark Avenue

Yeah I think so, it's to the point that most people would read it, and if they remember the term '667er' it would probably get their attention. How does the reminder work?
I just think we need a catchy tagline/subject line to ensure that as many people open it as possible, assuming their still using the same email addresses.

THE WORLD IS QUIET HERE as a subject line? I feel like that phrase will be instantly recognisable to all

Hmm that’s definitely intriguing. I usually lean towards descriptive (e.g., “You’re Invited: 667 Dark Avenue’s 20th Anniversary and Reunion”), but I see how that could sound like spam.

Yeah maybe we should go with something bold and intriguing, something that old members who were fans of the series would recognise.
