Please read what you like regardless of what others say, or how relevant the work is.

Semblance, you MUST read, in this order:
The Bible Translation: King James Version
The Iliad Translation: George Chapman
The Aeneid By Vergil Translation: John Dryden
The Divine Comedy By Dante Alighieri Translation: Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
Hamlet By William Shakespeare
Then, you may read fun novels, like Moby Dick.
You must NEVER read The Hunger Games !

You should read Herman Melville, by Moby Dick, instead. A whale's account of fighting against the author Herman M's libel against him.

I saw that people had been posting in this thread, but had no idea that none of it was about … the Hunger Games.
Anyway, the series is great. We read Mockingjay on 667 for our book club one summer, and Tragedy organized a Games-inspired competition for moderator positions.

I think it was THG itself we read, actually. You're right; I was just remembering a comment Dante made about about a character who only appears in Mockingjay.
