When Daniel Handler answered my question and said I know the way to his heart when I mentioned Judith Martin: I cheered, I shouted, I fist pumped the air, I cried, I stood and cheered. It was absolutely everything that I hoped it was going to be.

It was absolutely everything that I hoped it was going to be. I got the sense that he recognised you (even if he is uncertain about your gender). I have the feeling he doesn't actually know that much about philosophy-style philosophy (though he did later mention the ship of Theseus).

I got the sense that he recognised you (even if he is uncertain about your gender). Really? How so? Or rather, from where? I have the feeling he doesn't actually know that much about philosophy-style philosophy (though he did later mention the ship of Theseus). I think so, too, but it seems like he is partial to continental philosophy going by his views, and I'm excited to see Snicket expound on these views in PFB.
