Through some detective work I found the twitter account of the purchaser. Why don't we just ask him directly on there what his price is. (if he wants to sell) Maybe one of us can send a message from the 667 Twitter account. Since he's a collector it may be tough to buy from him but perhaps we could offer him some kind of deal where if we can't outright buy them, we get lent them for however it takes to scan them and then return the physical copies to him. Another option could be to offer to help cover the costs of digitization? That'd involve a lot of trust but it might be our best shot at this point. I'm at least glad to see that the owner seems passionate about the movie and isn't just some collector solely focused on turning a profit.

Yes I can PM him from 667 DA Twitter account. If some of you guys can redact a message and send it to me via PM I'll gladly do it!

I actually knew who had these for quite some time. Had no idea he was open to sell via Heritage though and it honestly surprises me that he's open to that. I didn't say anything because I didn't want to sick people on him. Lol.
I'm a bit skeptical if we reach out to him that he will be receptive to our plan, my worry would be that he would see our avid interest and the price would skyrocket or he would shut it down completely because he wouldn't want the scripts to lose value.
He comes across as an avid collector. Has a lot of memorabilia from a lot of different things. Some people are open to what we're interested in, some want to keep this stuff in private hands to keep the value up.
Hard to say honestly.

I've known too and actually contacted him, he seemed responsive at first and even offered to scan some pages for free, but then he never got back in touch.

Oh well cool! In that case... maybe give it a try! Who wants to come up with the message? Maybe we should indeed just offer to pay and get them scanned. Or should we continue to just try to purchase outright?

I agree, I think that making our intentions known to this collector could either make the price skyrocket, or make him uninterested in selling. Also as someone pointed out, his DMs on Twitter are closed, so we’d need to tweet him publicly rather than sending him a private message.

Here are my two cents: we make that offer of $700 first. There is now $800 in the GoFundMe. Then, if he still rejects, we make him aware of what we are doing and see if he could help us out in our efforts to digitize and see if we could then pay to make that happen.
However, this is just my thought. We can do whatever the general consensus decides.

I think the reverse, we contact him first, and then make the offer. Explain our goals and see if he's willing to sell in the first place. Because if he's not, it doesn't matter how much money we offer, and if he is. We'll see if the 700 is enough.

I can come up with a message that we can send to him, but is there a way to even contact him privately at this point?

I have written a message we can send to him and PMed it to Zortegus. However, if there isn't a way to directly message him then I'm not sure what we should do in that regard.
In the message, I have us telling him that we would like to learn what the scripts contain and are asking him if he would be willing to either sell them or allow us to pay him in exchange for digitalization.

We are still trying to contact the owner, but in the meantime, I have made an offer of $750.

Well, guys, the $750 offer was rejected. Not because he himself rejected it, only because he didn't respond to the offer in time. However, it is now no longer available as part of the "Make Owner to Offer" thing. In other words, we couldn't raise our offer even if we wanted to at this point. We also haven't been able to get ahold of the owner using the 667 Twitter account. My only other thought is that I will try to get ahold of him using my private Twitter (by tagging him and asking him to message me, I suppose) and then see if I can relay to him the situation that way.
