Yes, and I forgot to mention an important factor in my estimate. The reason the letters are completely unrecognizable in the photo (even using contrast, brightness and color shifting techniques) is probably because the 2ond sheet was printed on the front and back. If it were just printed on the front of the paper, the word count estimate would drop by half.

Hmmm. It looks like one of the early letters dips down more than the others. Is it a g or a j or a y or something else entirely? Better speculate wildly!

this actually makes a lot of sense... ... Thanks semb! A play written by Lemony Snicket. (My estimates can still be valid, however. Unfortunately I have no custom to read scripts, so I can not estimate the duration time of the play only based on the number of estimated pages ...).

Unfortunately I have no custom to read scripts, so I can not estimate the duration time of the part only based on the number of estimated pages ...). In my experience, the length of a script cannot really be determined by the number of pages. The pages simply fit as much dialog onto them as they can, so a play with many short lines of dialog is "longer" than one with a few big monologs. I'd imagine Snicket would write something more verbose, so it may appear shorter than it is.

I'd imagine Snicket would write something more verbose, so it may appear shorter than it is. The general rule in the theater is that a page should equal about a minute of stage time — but there are all sorts of things that get in the way of this; line spacing, font size, how descriptive the stage directions are, etc. Snicket's dialogue is very flowery (and if the Movie scripts he wrote are any indication his stage directions are also pretty ornate) so it is likely a much longer show than it would appear.
GAH IM SO EXCITED WTF AHHHHHHHH

I think it's probably going to be something from the PFB universe, with the same philosophical tone as PFB. Few characters, few settings, someone playing Lemony Snicket as the protagonist, a pseudo-mystery to move the plot along, ramblings about the meaning of life. But I could be wrong, and I hope I am. It could be something in the vein of The Composer Is Dead: several songs playing as a pseudo-mystery develops the plot, something with few settings, containing ramblings about the meaning of life in addition to a few characters and a protagonist who serves as "detective" that's probably going to be someone playing Lemony Snicket.

does anyone know anything about "Imaginary Comforts", DH's previous theatrical effort? is there a filmed performance, or a script available?

Honestly, I haven't the tiniest guess what it will be. I doubt it will be overly related to PFB, as I'm not sure what that book's significance is (I've heard theories it's in an alternate universe, theories it takes place between ATWQ and ASOUE, theories it comes after Chapter 14, etc.) but I also doubt it will be very connected to ASOUE, because ASOUE is a bunch of very loosely tied together plot threads that break if looked at to carefully and probably wouldn't stand up to a continuation or close prequel. I don't think it will be too new because then Handler would use his own name, so that leaves ATWQ, I guess? This reminds me of old threads from before Poison for Breakfast was coming out, but at least they had a title!
