Sorry for barging into a serious conversation, but that is one of the most creative euphemisms I’ve ever heard.

tw: sewer slides and helf sarm I've had suicidal ideation for as long as I can remember. A few years back it got really bad and I went inpatient in a mental hospital for a little bit, then I did something called partial inpatient for awhile where you go to therapy during the day but you're allowed to go home at night. After that I did dialectical behavior therapy (got a neat little diploma and everything) before transferring to phone therapy. I'm doing a whole lot better these days, even if the therapist did ultimately end up being too expensive to continue seeing.
I'm not going to give you the "please reach out!!!!" (ETA: this was in no way meant to be a dig at Terry specifically, it's just something you hear a lot when expressing suicidal thoughts) or a suicide hotline number, everybody with suicidal ideation has already heard it and it's f*cking annoying. But if you are legitimately struggling and worried that your thoughts will turn to action then you owe it to yourself to get help. If you're in America and professional help is prohibitively expensive, walk into an ER and tell them that you have a plan to kill yourself that you're going to act on. If you're a danger to yourself or others they're legally obligated to put you on a psyche hold. Once you've been through the system it's easier to get help. While you're there they'll set you up with a therapist, psychiatrist and hopefully a social worker to help get you set up for when you get out.
Keep your head up girl, we're thinking about you.

Love you Soph, I haven't been there so I can only express all my love and support and hope the United States stops investing all that money in bullsalsa stuff like guns and militia and starts focusing on covering free health care.
If anything, come to live to Argentina with me, we have free health care (psychology and psychiatry both included) and you can become a big national music star overnight I'm sure.

Similar to Zort, I’ve never experienced this myself, so all I can say is I'm so sorry you're feeling like this and I hope you're getting all the support you need. Either way, we're all here to talk about anything you want, related or unrelated to this. I'm thinking of you.

I've had suicidal ideation for quite a while(although I'm doing ok right now)and have threatened suicide before, although never attempted it. I won't go into detail but I'm a trauma survivor(and had really bad anxiety even before then), and there have been times that I've wanted "out." I would suggested talking to people, and having a suicide hotline at hand. Also, don't mean to pry but are you on meds and/or do you have counseling, because I've found both of those have been a big help for me.

So glad to hear you're safe <3
But I'm so sorry about your voice; it must be absolutely awful to lose something that gives you joy and is so fundamental to who you are. Is it strong enough for you to sing again yet?

gettiing there! i can sing short lil melodies now, i havent rly tried to see how long i can siing for, because i need to save up my voice n be able to talk @ work, but its soooo much better than it was , i can basically talk as much as i want without worrying much about gettting hoarse. the doctor looked at my vocal cords basically it will just slowly improve, i have been drinking water like its my religion lol
in short< potato covid-19. i didnt actually get very sick but this was a side effect that basically ruined my mental health
