i had two copies of TBL by chance, because my grandma got it for christmas without realizing i already had it. but it turned out to be the perfect book to have two copies of.
i had the vertical poster hanging in my bedroom. this was also by chance, because we had a frame that was the right size and it was designed to be hung vertically.
i think the horizontal one is actually the better image.

I think I liked the waves image the most? It hung on my wall for most of my teenage years, and I think I flipped it from time to time.My copy still exists at my parents house somewhere, but I have no idea where the poster is.

I didn't put my poster on the wall, because I like to show it to other people, since I use the TBL cover as a personal archive, and I use the book to try to convince people to read ASOUE. As for my favorite side, it's definitely the bat side. A specific bat is watching me whenever I look at the illustration. Also, I feel like a researcher's point of view about what happened to the Baudelaires. The bats side is like a means of transporting yourself into the universe of ASOUE, stepping into a character, probably Lemony Snicket himself, or Beatrice Junior. Especially after I wrote my fanfic Untie My Silence Knot, that illustration has a deeper meaning for me.
