Yesterday, I interviewed some high-profile Broadway songwriters for a musical theater history piece I am writing.
Soon afterward, as I was preparing for an interview for a school librarian position, the septic tank at my in-laws (where I am living) decided to back up resulting in a flooded basement. So, instead of attending the job interview, my wife and I had the pleasure of cleaning up sh*t water. A good day, all in all.

Work, on my 5th language on Duolingo, trying to plan another trip to Chicago. What languages have you learned? I'm currently brushing up on my Hungarian. I grew up speaking English and Hungarian but I'd been a bit out of practice. I go between Hebrew, Arabic, Yiddish, French, and have recently added Italian into the rotation.

It's cool that you're doing several at once, in a perfect world I'd do that but I'd rather do one language at a time and gain fluency than be learning a bunch at the same time but not be able to go in depth. I'm trying to decide whether to do French or Japanese after my Hungarian course.

I can’t say who yet but I can post the piece when it’s done. It has to do with a well-loved children’s book that a lot of people here would be familiar with so I think there would be interest.

Is it the mysterious new musical Lemony Snicket's writing!?!!
(It's actually probably Harry Potter and the Cursed Child or something)

I'm not just using Duolingo. I'm also using books and talking to family in Hungary. It helps that I already know a decent amount of Hungarian and just want to learn more rather than just starting from scratch.

i guess i'm suggesting that taking a bunch of languages on Duolingo is the way it should be used, since you can't really go "in depth" on a language there anyway.
