At some point, I thought that the tune to the song was that of a lyric poem called The Wreck of the Hesperus, which is about a shipwreck. Try singing this, and see if the rhythm sounds the same(I have no ear for music): IT was the schooner Hesperus, That sailed the wintry sea; And the skipper had taken his little daughter, To bear him company. www.bartleby.com/42/777.htmlAh, the Hesperus. I did that for my English Poetry Assignment, I should have thought of it... All the other people did James Honeyman or the Ballad of the Breadman. Wreck of the Hesperus was so much cooler though.

also in an episode of Monty Python, "Mr Pithers Cycling Tour" he's about to be executed when he awakens in his garden at home "Mother" he exclaims, "So, it was all a terrible dream" to which his mother replys "No son, this is the dream, you're still in that cell" So, might we have a twist where one of the Baudelaires wakes up in the mansion's library, and the mother or father says "No, this is the dream, you're still in Olaf's clutches"? It'd be a neat fanfic, although I don't know if Handler will spring it on us for real.

A dream would be a twist, and li8ke someone said an over used one. I do not tihnk that it is a dream and for the beat of the song I always sung it to the theam song of Gilligans Isle

There was a thread debating if the music was indeed Row Row Row, and those who could read/play music said that it was almost definately Row Row Row.
I think the dream of a dream ending would be imaginative. People would think it cliched but it would them twist.
You could take it too far and have them wake up to their home, them they keep waking up in different places and don't know what to believe.

I doubt it will end like that....it's all too vivic. I mean, Lemony even says: "Years later, Klaus would look back and...." How can you do that in a dream? It could, of course, be true that Lemony is making this all up, for a story he's writing... and none of it is true. In Lemony's world, that is. But that is also unlikely. And although Row, Row, Row your boat is popular, there isn't really a naval disaster in it....

I suppose it could seem like a naval disaster to Lemony.
I must admit, I do sort of like the idea of the Baudelaires being figments of Lemony's imagination, maybe signifying good and bad. I had previously decided it would be too weird for the Baudelaires to not be real, however.
I really hope he doesn't end it as a dream. But I have faith in Handler, he wouldn't do that to us.

Lemony calling Row Row Row a naval disaster could be a joke. Hmm.

It would be pretty lame if it were all a dream. But then It would be clear how they could do all of those amazing things that aren't possible, LOl.

But how could Lemony be recording the DREAMS of the Bootylicious? Baudelaires. DA[r]N MAD! Edit from FFWF: Yes, Antenora, he should.

Maybe the whole series is Lemony's dream...but that's reaching into the realms of completely preposterous speculation yet again.
Also, James, you should probably watch your language.
