maybe she had to watch her typewriter burn with her face. i don't know what the typewriter has to do with "What happened to Beatrice", if the triptych does mean that she died. she might've died in another sense, like her love for lemony died or something.

sorry that is just a theroy just a theroy calm down No offense, but I don't know what I said that wasn't calm. Anyway, Beatrice died in a fire it says so in so many places, but she survived the Baudelaire fire. I think something terrible happens to her (dying in an other fire) in the afternoon in book 13. Here's another crazy theory of mine: Near the end of the 13th book they are all at Briny Beach, they have found Beatrice(mrs. Baudelaire) and the villains and the good guys are struggling. Hector's hot air mobile home descends with the Quagmires and a new ladder. Beatrice climbs first and just as Quigley and the bauds start to climb Olaf throws a torch into the SSHAMH and catches fire to all the technological stuff in the device, plus Esme shoots the ladder again so no one can help them. Justice Strauss is there to get her message(the one for JS) and she helps the good guys arrest Olaf and Esme and she takes in the bauds+quigley. Not so likely, but at least it's an idea.

My theories are almost always crazy, so I'm afraid u'll have to get used to it. I'm thinking of starting a new thread on why Olaf is obsessed with rocks so u know how weird my theories and concerns can sometimes be.

Wait when did it say he was obsessed with rocks?

It didn't, but in the bb"Instead of books or games to occupy the children, Count Olaf had provided a pile of rocks." In the SS"hooky: you'll find that much of this job involves waiting around, which is why I usually bring something to occupy myself like a deck of cards or a pile of rocks." How is a pile of rocks remotely interesting? IT seems weird that it's been mentioned twice now.

I'm writing to you all from the dark depths of an abandoned submarine with my dear friend's autobigraphy at hand. If you will quickly find yours and open it to the index, you will find information that will be to your advantage. 1) Look up Beatrice and you will be directed to... 2) Identity of Beatrice, I may as well stop here, but if you go the determined page, you will find that it is the burnt photogragph. My statement is thus, why would there be an entry that is titled "identity of Beatrice" if she is not someone we already know. Catch my drift. The enemy is close at hand. I must resign from my hiding spot (behind a reading lamp) and find the torpedo bay. I wish I could have spoken to you all under better circumstances, but times are rough. Goodbye.

Okay...
I am writing to you from the dangerous depths of my computer room, where enemy Mom is close at hand... So what about the Identity of Beatrice thing?

It's in the index because the Identity of Beatrice is shrouded in mystery. I have obliterated the mystery by saying she is Mrs. Baudelaire and piling legions of evidence to support myself. For those of you who believe me go to the Beatrice IS Baudelaire Mom thread in Sardonic Series and help out. If u are one of the people that doesn't believe me, well keep fighting me and give me a decent debate.

Lemony Snicket writes specifically that she perished one terrible thursday afternoon. I will find the quote in the morn, when I am not so wiped out.
