What about Julio Sham?
There is evidence to suggest that Captain Sham is real, and that Olaf was only disguised as him, without making him up. All of Olaf's other disguises lead to False Names in the LSUA Index. Captain Sham, on the other hand, leads to Disguises.
The ship's captain who told Lemony how to get through the Prospero safely, and who admired his dramatic criticism (meaning he could not be Olaf, as Olaf would never even pretend to admire something that criticised himself) was called Captain S, aka J.
He could not be Jacques, either, as Jacques wrote a separate letter, and the ship's captain addresses Lemony formally, not as "brother".
Finally, Captain Sham is a patently fake name. It would be typical Snicket irony to make it in fact a real name.
JS, in my view, is the real Julio Sham.

You could add Julio Sham on there. No harm done. I mean, I didn't think it would be likely, but it's and idea.

yah, i was thinking about that thing too from LSUA. It might be Julio Sham, but maybe Olaf had to kill him just to use his name.

Sounds like something Olaf would do. Just to use a disguise. But it's in the disguise kit. I don't think he had to KILL someone for the disguise, I think he just had it in his kit.

He's a deranged pyromaniac who chases innocent children for money and sapphires. He has a fashion- obsessed girlfriend. He makes infants do the cooking. His associates include a contortionist, an ambidexterous person, a hunchback, and a person with hooks for hands. I think we've safely established that he can and will do anything. It's part of his charm.

That is sooooo Olaf. Really, I mean, if there was a Julio Sham, I would hope that he died peacefully. Or painfree.

I didn't think there was a julio sham, olaf just made up the name. Like he made up <counts>: Shirley, Gunther, and Detective Dupin(he had to kill people for the other names so I won't add them)

Look at the LSUA. I've already put down a ton of evidence on this thread supporting the fact that there is a real Captain Sham, and I don't want to repeat myself.
And personally, I have a feeling he's still alive. Perhaps he's even the owner of the Prospero who sent Lemony the postcard, though I doubt it.
As for the disguises you didn't list (Stephano, Coach Genghis, etc) he didn't kill people for their names there, but for their position (eg Miss Tench the gym teacher, Gustav the lab assistant, Babs)

If Justice Strauss appears again, I think it will have more to do with the fact that the Bauds have been accused of Jacques Snicket's death.

Ugh i would hate justice strauss trying them for murder... I always thought she might take them in at the end... Maybe... Yes that's what I meant, he killed people for those positions, but not the names... There's a real Captain Sham? Hmmm....

Justice Strauss is too nice, and knowing of the Baudelaire's to do that....it would be sad if she did it...

Justic Strauss may not be a real judge. In the index in LSUA, the judge disguise leads to Justice Strauss.
