Exactly! But we should follow Lemony's advice, "you should always get a good night's sleep so you do well in school, unless you are in the middle of a good book in which case you should stay up all night reading and let your schoolwork fall by the wayside, a phrase which here means flunk." I love that bit of advice. Chances are it will take me a few hours, because I take breaks.

I'll be forced to try to read it in the car through the screaming of babies, then I'll have to eat dinner and do homework, then sacrifice sleep to finish it so I'd better be done in a couple hours.

Last year I sacrificed a little sleep to finish TSS. The last chapter was so fast-paced and confusing that I had to read it twice--not like I was complaining.

Because my siblings are babies and will not do well with going 15 minutes to my school to pick me up from marching band, THEN going another 10 minutes to get the book, THEN finally going home. Then I will have to eat dinner and I'll probably have lotsa homework so that by the time I can really relax and read it it'll be late enough to where I'll have to sacrifice sleep.

Less than a day. I once read books 1-5 in just a few hours. I think it was 3 hours on a car ride. Then I listen to them all on audioboook. Since the next book has alot of marine life in it it will tajke me 3-6 hours.

Are you going to take breaks to research anglerfish and jellyfish(sea jellies as the aquarium people call them)? I'll probably take breaks from reading in order to take notes or make sketches of random neat underwater stuff.

I will do stuff like that. Usually I take notes about the story lines. While reading, if I see something important I just jot it down but it won't take me long

Ah Nate, you're a man (are you?) after my own heart. All I do is read and go online (to read some more) too! Though I'm thinking I'll have to start being productive, since I'll be a big, grown up college student and all (can you sense the sarcasm?) . . . then again, maybe not. And where's that quote from MynamesJacques? I don't remember reading it, but I like it. Oh yeah, the actual point of this, I put under an hour, maybe an hour tops. Fast reader. Eventually I'll re-read all of them and force myself to spend at least a minute on each page to digest every minute detail that might possibly be a clue, but for now, I'm a bit overeager.
And just because I'm a freak, here's how long Amazon.com said each of the books were: 1. 176 2. 208 3. 224 4. 208 5. 240 6. 272 7. 272 8. 272 9. 304 10. 352 11. 352 I think someone mentioned something about the number of pages before . . . well, now we have reference points. They do seem to be getting bigger, don't they?
