well we know quiqley is a voulenteer last page said that the the voulenteer will meet at hotel donument including quiqley quaqmire
so it must be a vfder he meet after he left uncle monty's house

Well, at that point, Quigley had not revealed his identity to the bauds, so they did not know he had met with Jacques, so he may have been refrerring to Jacqyes. How many other volunteers would have told him info like that? He didn't know about VFD till after the quag fire.

It is probably just a volunteer that Quigly met, mabey he was at another VFD headquarters before this and fled.

But why use the word another? Wouldn't he have said a volunteer? Quigley is a volunteer, so it would make sense for him to say "another". I'll have to reread that chapter, but I don't think he mentioned any volunteers by name during the time he was in disguise. |

Quigley was never AT another hq before, he didn't know of VFD until after his parents died remember? The only volunteer he had time to see was Jacques. It has to be Jacques.

I dont think it was Jacques. It if was him, Quigly would have refered to him as Jacques. I have a feeling that Quigly has been conversing with some of the other members of VFD, but who? Well, either we will figure it out, or we wont, my bet is we will. I wont take a guess, though. There is no way I could be correct no matter what I guessed. At this point, that other volunteer could be Barney the Dinosaur.
