Assuming that the "official" editions for the U.S.A. are those by HarperCollins, and that the editions by publishers Allison & Busby are the "official" U.K. versions for The Basic Eight and Watch Your Mouth, and Adverbs was published by 4th Estate: TB8: Different cover. Other problems wouldn't surprise me. WYM: Different cover. I hear the second half is meant to be printed in burgandy, but it's not. Adverbs: Back cover and flaps modified, volcano reference in cover text cut out. I have the Allison and Busby Basic Eight, and I haven't noticed any problems, but then again, I haven't read the American version. I also own the WYM Antenora linked; I didn't know it was only that edition with burgundy text.

I like the burgundy text. *random* Good thing Egmont doesn't have a monopoly over all handler's books.
