An SAE would be great since she replied again, saying they can't e-mail the list for security reasons.

Well i got the exact copy of the reply that was sent to gigi, (It is with great regret that we have made an error when we selected the original winner of the Snicket competition according to our rules. We have consequently drawn a new winner from the 12 runners up, and they shall receive a portable DVD player.
If you would like to know the name and area the winner is from, please can you send in an SAE.
Kind regards
Vicki Gordon)
ummm...snicketfires, have you sent the SAE yet? if you havent i'll be happy to do it.

As of today, I have not. With any luck, I'll send it with tomorrow's post.

Quite. I personally couldn't care less about what weird names they have or their locations. I just want to know what titles were apparently better than mine good enough to win. Although the runners-up were most likely out of a hat, so I'm not expecting wonders.

Well, there's the tiny glitch of the British postal system not being able to use Canadian stamps, or so I've been told.
What I'm really saying is that I can't do it. Sorry to let everyone down. Is there any other wonderful person who'd like to step up to the plate?

Cloaked Shadow, if you aren't in a position to send an SAE, I'll do it again (and I'll be more specific this time).

I sent the SAE abou 1 and hald months from now and so far i have recived no reply what so ever. I tried E-Mailing them but the Support wont reply to that either. We will just have to wait and see if they are posted somwhere on the internet ect. I guess thats the only hope.

Ironically, I expected this to happen, and so I'm not outraged. By contrast, the winning titles would probably have insulted me so much that I would have been outraged.
Anyway, thanks for trying, Shadow, and it's a real pity Egmont apparently isn't up to scratch (unless your letter didn't get through the postal system or something, but it's much easier to blame Egmont). Anyone have any ideas, or do we not care anymore? I'm still curious, but I'm not sure if it's to the extent of taking action.

I'm still slightly curious about the titles, but I'm not sure if I can send a letter to Egmont(I'm in California, I don't know if US stamps would be accepted by the British postal system, and at any rate it'd probably take some time to get through). Thanks to everyone who tried, anyway. And if we're really lucky the titles will be posted someplace online.

This has gone on too long. I give up. Maybe at some vague, mysterious point in the future we'll learn the winning titles, but there's no point in keeping this stickied anymore.
Unstickied.
