Something in Book 2 that may clue us in on Book 13

In TRR, Lemony Snicket said something about not bringing a flashlight to a dark place (cave, perhaps) and someone dying. Could this be what happens in Book 13? If so, I think it may be Violet( I dunno why though.)

I gathered that book 2 was too early in the series to give hints about the 13th book, because it was only originally intended to have 4 or 5 books (hence the late plot involvement), expelling that, i'd think it was more of a hint about book 11 and the grotto, in which it was to dark to see anything, dunno about the dying thing tho.
another solution is perhaps it is mearly a comment not to do with the books that L.S put in and is fun to speculate on.

I can't find the exact quote but my blank book has a note that says something along the lines of Lemony should have bought a flashlight in order to save Beatrice.
This suggests either that Beatrice died at night, or someplace dark like an empty elevator shaft...or a secret passageway

CHAPTER Four

One of the most difficult things to think about in life is one's regrets. Something will happen to you, and you will do the wrong thing, and for years afterward you will wish you had done something different. For instance, sometimes when I am walkign along the seashore, or visiting the grave of a friend, I will remember a day, a long time ago, when I didn't bring a flashlight with me to a place where I should have brought a flashlight, and the results were disastrous. Why didn't I bring a flashlight? I think to myself, even though it is too late to da anything about it. I should have brought a flashlight.

It is indeed rather cryptic, and sounds a lot like something that Lemony would write in the more recent books. However, I think it's too obscure to deserve a thread on its own, so I must ask you to post it in the Book the Thirteenth Speculation Thread at the top of the page.
