SHOCKING SECRET NUMBER #8 Lemony Snicket was fired from The Daily Punctilio. SHOCKING SECRET #9 Lemony Snicket helped Beatrice commit a serious crime before her death. SHOCKING SECRET #10 Lemony Snicket was disguised as a bullfighter when he was captured. SHOCKING SECRET #11 Lemony Snicket's work is filled with secret messages meant for his associates. SHOCKING SECRET NUMBER #12 Lemony Snicket has a tattoo of an eye on his ankle. SHOCKING SECRET NUMBER #13 (Don't read if you want to figure out the code.) He is finished. How long ago was that page put up? I haven't seen it before.
Anyway, while some of the secrets are things we've already known, and some are random silliness, some are surely interesting. I'd guess the niece is Jacques' child, and I wonder what crime Beatrice and Lemony could have committed.

Jacques' child? I'm inferring along the lines of Kit's child, as yet unborn for us readers but born in Lemony's post-series time. Which would then mean that Kit dies.
That crime thing was startling. As was the fact that Lemony grew up with a villain..

Would the crime be stealing the sugar bowl? After all, Esmé did allegedly kill Beatrice for stealing it, whilst Lemony was the one who actually stole it...Anyway, great find. I'm surprised no one has seen this before; it's really interesting.
Edit: Chure, post the sugar bowl thing right before I post my idea. Grrr.

What!? This is shocking! Thanks for that Ligeia. I'm on the computer at school at the moment and the bell is about to ring so I can't write as much as a comment which I wish to. But yeah, some of these secrets were already revealed in TUA but others are truely interesting. I'm inclined to think the orphaned neice will be Kit's daughter. We never heard of Jacques having a daughter did we... so that owuld mean perhaps we will witness Kit's death in the 13th book. Shocking Secret number 9 is what I found really shocking. The bell will go in a minute so I'll contemplate it in my last lesson of the day and then come back.

Just so you know, guys, I'm going to make a sticky thread with all the online stuff about The End in it - the AuthorTrackers and this, basically. That'll be the official speculation thread for any online clues we get, just like for TheNamelessNovel.com last year. But I might have to go to school before I can finish it, so it might not be up for a few hours yet. So please, be patient. Doesn't help that this stuff happens about midnight my time... Edit: In the meantime, what can we get from the document's name - Summer Reading? That this'll be all we'll get to tide us on, or just that it'll take us a while to figure out? Because it ain't summer yet; I'll tell you it's snowing outside here. Edit Again: Yeah, done. It's at the top of the page, and that's now the official place for discussing stuff like and including this. No offence, Ligeia, but me and SnicketFires had been considering something like it for a while, and it seems appropriate to keep all the web information in the same place. Also, if others could type up the information from the shocking secrets, it'd sure save me time. Or take a bunch of screenshots or something. If not, I'll get to work on it myself later.
