In TPP Dewey say to Count Olad that triplets run in the family. So this got me thinking that if triplets run in the family, could this mean that the Denument triplets and the Quagmire triplets are related? Also do we know if Lemony, Kit and Jaques are all different ages? Because they could also be triplets and this could mean that the Snicket, Quagmire and Denument triplets could all be related. Discuss. Sorry if this has already been mentioned.

Jacques and Kit are implied in several places to be twins, but Lemony's definitely younger than them. That statement could mean that the Denouements and Quagmires are related, yes, although I see no particular point to it.

It would be interesting to have some of these families related and I'm sure Handler would find a way to make it important.

Perhaps he is referring to the VFD "family," as others in the past have speculated that the VFD "Family Tree" in the Unauthorized Autobiography refers to the organization and not to the Snickets or another actual family.

well of course its important! it would be like a whole plot revealed. i think that it is true and that handler wouldnt have just put in the fact that triplets run in the family for nothing.

But how could it just relate to the VFD familiy when Dewey was talking about his actual brothers, hence his blood-related family? I think he's talking about not the VFD system but his own family, which could very well mean that he's related to many of these families that seem to have batches of three children.
