Ok remember in the First book when they were the performing the The Marvelous Marrige they metioned a wart faced man (quite often) they said he looked importent and escaped with Count Olaf. But they never metioned him again!!!!!! Who could he be? ? Could he be a forgotten acomplices?(which I dont think Lemony would do) Or could he be Lemony Snicket or someone else? Also the short haired women pulling up the curtians could she be Esme or maybe someone else? (betrice)

Good point he will probably show up later. Maybe he wasn't a henchman but like Jusstice Strauss was used for the play.

I like that theory.
But why did he let Olaf get away? Perhaps to make sure he was arrested by VFD rather than bungling police?

The song "Scream and Run Away" mentions a "long-nosed bald man with warts"; however, Wartface probably isn't the bald man, who was standing by Klaus. Maybe Wartface is the Man With A Beard and No Hair, and he later bought wart-removal cream(or had on a warty mask for some reason). I also noticed three short men who are mentioned once and never again; they were setting up the stage.

Actually, if I remember, in TCC when olaf and his troupe are presenting the house of freaks, out of the crowd, a wart-faced man shouts "hey! one of the freaks has hooks for hands!" he also makes little comments throughout the book when the lion pit is open, but he doesnt seem to have any significance.

Actually, as I've clarified before, that man had pimples on his chin. As opposed to the henchman with warts all over his face.

But in LSUA it says that Count Olaf has as many as 39 henchmen.

The number was "at least 25, possibly more than 41". Some of the alleged henchfolks are a bit spurious, such as the "enemies nearby" and "a man's life". But the wart-faced man, the short-haired woman, and the short men(all of them among the "people the children could not see") could be assistants who chose not to chase after the Baudelaires, or just got lost somehow. This matter requires further investigation.
