For real? Because if so... that makes it near impossible to win. I mean the orphans just keep collecting those dumb tiles over and over again.

That's why you've got to play the Tragedy cards right away. The orphans can only thwart Olaf if they have enough of the right tiles. And Olaf can play his cards without having to collect anything.
Besides, once they play their tiles, they have to turn them in, right?

Yes, but the tiles get relocated on the board And how am I supposed to play my Tragedy cards right away with the guardian switching rooms every other turn?!

You're right. I just went back and read the rules again. Olaf does have to be in the same room as the Guardian to play a card. I guess we never played it that way, must have skipped over that part.
That does make it harder for Olaf to win.

Not just harder. Much harder.
There must be something we're missing.

Maybe the makers don't want Olaf to win.

This sucks because I always play as Olaf. Not that I play often... but when I do it's very unfulfilling.

I've been trying to get it for ages... do they have it in Australia? I'll try getting it off Ebay. I want to play it so badly!

Strange... I always have a hard time playing as the Baudelaires... It's possible that the makers wanted to make it as hard as possible for Olaf to win...
... conspiracy! *runs for cover*

Of course they did, Olaf's the bad guy. Of course, the game company should've given him credit for being a good one.
