Hey, you Brits, have any of you heard about or seen Cruel Christmas cards? I found this listing on ebay, but it doesn't give a lot of detail.

I've never seen them, but I'll certainly keep an eye out.
Edit: I just realised that that's probably a useless promise due to my general reclusiveness, but if on the offchance I happen to be somewhere that has them or something that looks like it's related to them, I wouldn't ignore them.

IF you should ever find them, I would be eternally grateful, and would reward you handsomely, if you would buy them for me and mail them over here too.

I've seen those in Waterstones. They're being given away free when you buy any Lemony Snicket book. I don't know if there's any way of buying them separately, which is terribly disappointing because I already have all the books except the Unauthorised Autobiography, and that's the only one they don't have.

Typical. I own the entire series too, and I don't think I bought any of my books from my local Waterstones. Although I think buying The End from somewhere else and getting a t-shirt with it was probably a worthwhile trade-off.

I did a little more searching. One had the sayings that are on the insides of the cards:
1) Ding dong miserably on high
2) Chestnuts burning on an open fire
3) We wish you a Merry Christmas; We wish you a Merry Christmas; We wish you a Merry Christmas but understand that this isn't always possible.
4) On the first day of Christmas My true love sent to me... Absolutely nothing.
Even if I never get the official cards, I might use those sayings and make some cards of my own.

That sounds very funny. I hate those deals! They know that you've got the books, otherwise you wouldn't want the cards so badly, would you? So you're stuck in a dilemma... you decide you'll buy it and give it to a friend... who gets the cash? $$$$
