Now that we have all talked about how depressed we are, we should also talk about what we do to feel better. What do you do when you have had an especially depressing day or a panic attack, or feel angry for no real reason?
I listen to music, that always helps, or I make some music myself, that's even better. Taking a walk also helps, and sometimes I even write something. And it's maybe strange, but I also feel better when I tidy up something, or especially when I iron some clothes. Maybe I'm weird, but that's true.

I have a couple of close friends who I just like hanging out with. Like every once in a while I'll want to do something exciting but I always feel better when I'm just hanging out with them. Basically being with people I don't hate.

Going for a walk/run. Tea. The Beatles. All the music I like. Writing. Hugs. Lots of hugs. Reading. Anything that makes me laugh.

Porn. No, but seriously sad music does help better than happy music, because the latter makes you realize how sad you really are and makes you think everyone else is happy. It's more or less why blues music is my favourite music genre. Also, if you really down in the dumps, and I mean seriously down, sleeping a lot is the way to go. Or--crossposting here: or just watch some movies/read books/listen to music and do nothing else. I think expressing distress creatively is also a great way to deal with it (painting/writing/music).

Oh right running like Sophie said It's scientifically impossible to be unhappy because it releases endorphins that MAKE you happy
