My fics will probably focus strictly on the Quagmires and the Baudelaires, but that could always change. I'll try to finish up the interview this week.
Do you have any idea for the ficlet where the orphans meet Doc Brown? I might write that sometimes next week.
Here's what I have so far on Doc: 1. He's a member of the VFD, and is on the firefighting side of the schism.* 2. He's has a PhD in physics, and is very fond of Jules Verne. 3. His catchphrase is "Great Scott!"
* Other than the Quagmires and Baines, I'm thinking that Doc would be the only Hill Valley resident to be a member of the VFD. I thought of putting Count Biff Tannen on the arsonists side of the VFD - but then I realized he'd be well into his adulthood, by the time the schism occurs.

Yay, you're back! *hugs* I missed ya! Maybe for your BTTF/ASOUE crossover, Doc would become the Baudelaires' new guardian, depending on how old they are. I know in your other fic, Violet is about 18, so for that idea to work she would have to be younger. Your idea for Biff being on the arsonist side of V.F.D. could definately work as long as his personality was what it was when he was a teenager. Because I think he softened up a lot as an adult from what I can remember from the movies. It's been a while since I've watched them.

Hey, thanks for the suggestions! I might just do that. I know Doc's mansion burnt down in the movies - but maybe, in the ASOUE Universe, he ends up not burning down the mansion As far as for Biff, I suppose he could join the arsonists side of the VFD as an adult. He just can't be recruited as a child, as that would kind of mess up his personality. Rupert Quagmire really wasn't like George McFly at all, so he had no qualms of standing up to the likes of Biff Tannen. Biff would still be persuing Lorraine, though - so Rupert having his eye on Lorraine would certainly put him on Biff's bad side. I have such mixed feelings about whether or not this Doc has plans for a time machine. First off, I'm not sure if the DeLorean would even exist in the ASOUE - and, if it did, it would only seat two people. With Doc and the orphans combined, it would be nine people - certain not enough room to squeeze them all inside the DeLorean. Doc did have that train at the end of Part III, but the DeLorean was pretty much what made the trilogy. Then there's also the fact that adding a time machine to the ASOUE Universe might complicate things a bit. On the other hand, though, it's kind of hard to imagine Doc not having a thing for time travel. In my first novella, it would start out with Hector, the Quagmires, and other allies sailing out to sea - after meeting young Friday Caliban. The story would end with the Baudelaires arriving in Hill Valley. I suppose I could maybe introduce Doc Brown towards the end of that fic, but maybe write it a little earlier - and he invites the orphans to live in his mansion.

You're welcome! I really like your idea of Hector and the Quagmires meeting Fridy. It was sad in TE since you really don't know what is/did happen to her and the other islanders.

Yeah, I agree that we never found out much in TE, but oh well.

Yeah, but it's like Quagmire44 mentions in her other thread: Unanswered questions leave more room for us fanfic writers to be creative.
