I and my friend Giovanni have been wondering if General Grievous from Star Wars III could possibly be the "dead" Master Sifo-Dyas whom ordered the clones... We're just wondering, since Grievous had a heart, where he was killed by Obi-Wan, and had some human traits such as the coughing. What could have happened was that Grievous was injured and presumed dead, as Darth Vader, and brought back with a metal suit or body using the same heart, and he went to the dark side and used the droids instead of clones...

I read in some star wars info book (with pictures and info about the characters and weapons) that General Grievous used to be a human, but when he died, he was turned into a cyborg, which he hates. And he aint no Jedi, because he said that Dukoo had taught him how to use the lightsaber. So he was probably just some evil human. And this belongs in WW.

Oh, well thanks for clearing that up. And yes, if some moderator would be kind enough to move it, sorry I put it in the wrong section.

Please stop placing threads in the wrong section. You have been a member for some time now, and should know here to put everything, yet a few times you have not. Do not do it again.

Mace Windu almost force squished the General like a pop can in Clone Wars Vol. 2 (Chapter 25) that's where he developed the cough. Originally the design people were going to give him Darth Maul's eyes (which I think would have been an inspired take), but Lucas said no. ::kicks him:: so who did order the clones? Most likely Sidious or Tyranus (Dooku) when he was still "in the order of Jedi" it would also explain who got in the Jedi master files and erased the planet Kamino in Ep II as well, they just used that name when they made the order for the clone army from the cloners on Kamino.

but obi-wan said that master Sifa-Dyas died almost 10 years ago which meant he died in or around episode 1, i couldn't have been dooku cause in ep. II he didn't know where the jedi got such a big army

Maybe because he didn't know that the JEDI HAD APPROPRIATED THE ARMY MEANT FOR THE EMPIRE.
Or maybe it was just Palpatine, Syfo-Dias, Sidious, it's similar.

I'm going to type slowly so you can understand...
GEORGE LUCAS NAMED THE CHARACTER SYFO-DIAS AS A CLEVER WAY TO POINT TO THE ONE THAT ACTUALLY WAS BEHIND IT ALL: PALPATINE AKA SIDIOUS.
Syfo-Dias was dead when the order was made and Kamino was erased.
The Kamino rep or Prime Minster have never met Syfo-Dias. The Kamino rep's lines "The Prime Minister is anxious to meet you". Thus we know the Prime Minster never actaully saw this Syfo-Dias person, because when he walks in, first thing he would have said is, "I was expecting Syfo-Dias, who are you"
A person using the name Syfo-Dias claiming to be on the jedi council order the clones almost ten years ago. Thus after the events in TPM.
Obi-Wan says to Yoda & Mace "I was under the impression that he(Syfo-Dias) was killed before that(ie, >= ten years ago)." Thus during or before the events in TPM.
Mace says after Obi-Wan's line, "No, no one on the council had the authority to place that order.". Neither one of them says the name Syfo-Dias at all.
Jango says " I was recruited by a man called Tyrannus on one of the moons of Boakta" Not, Lord or Darth.
All the clues point to Syfo Dyas being a Jedi who was killed, but whose identity was used by the Sith to place an order for a Clone Army on behalf of the Jedi Order. Therefore, it is likely that he was killed by a Sith Lord: probably Darth Tyranus, who then hired Jango Fett to serve as the template clone.

Which one is General Grevious? Is it the red and black one from The Phantom Menace?? If it isn't, I'm sorry. I get mixed up with the Star Wars films!!
