People need to let go of the Nickelodeon association. As I understand it, they have very little to do with the film (other than reaping the profits)- it's largely Paramount's baby.
As has already been discussed in other threads, Rick Heinrichs is the production designer. He is well-respected guy from Tim Burton's camp who worked on Sleepy Hollow, Nightmare Before Christmas and Edward Scissorhands.
It also features the conceptual design work of Peter Chan, who I love- he was present at LucasArts during the glory days of their Monkey Island and Sam & Max adventure games, and he's done stuff for Harry Potter and a host of other projects.
At least visually, I think the film is in very good hands.

I dont really have any worries about the film. Ive been told by my insider taht Nickelodean was just the people to opt for the film rights. Itll allow them to widely advertise the film on their channels and itll help Nickelodean out as well. but yes, this movie is largely Paramount's bundle of cash, I mean joy.
The movie is definately in good hands visually, we all know this. My insider says that we will freak when we see the trailer taht will actually show some of teh major sets (from what he tells me, teh teaser may not, but i dont think Im allowed to go into details on what the teaser trailer will be like). and I guess the clothes will be a bit of everything to stick to the tradition of when and where the story takes place which is in a time that never happened in a place not too far from you that doesnt exist.
Im afraid that a rap or pop song will leak into the soundtrack. Thats my only worry. But once again, my insider saves my day and tells me that the director of the movie is very picky about the movie and isnt likly to let that happen.
Im happy with the talents they got for the movie. Jim will be great! No worries.
I am happy with the way the movie is supposed to turn out! Have no worries.

I understand that andre, but that doesn't mean that Nickelodeon is guiding the look and content of the films to the extent that they have on their other properties, which is precisely what people in this thread are worried about, and the only point I'm really addressing.
To the best of my knowledge, it is not even being visibly branded as a Nickelodeon film (though that may change)...they're taking more of a backseat in the proceedings than usual.
