The first movie is called "Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events". I generally don't like titles with possesive nouns, but I'll forgive this one because Snicket is part of the story and very cool. I have no clue what the next one will be. "Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events 2[or II] "?

I think they should havenamed the first film "THE TROUBLE BEGINS" like the first box set (in threes). But, regardless of any subtritle, I imagine the next movie might be "THE SITUATION WORSENS" or just "2"

But, regardless of any subtritle, I imagine the next movie might be "THE SITUATION WORSENS" or just "2" If so, it would probably be "Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events: The Trouble Begins." That would be a bit overlong, ill-suited for snappy marquees. Also, if the second film's title ends with "2", it'll look like just a sequel, instead of a proper story continuation. These movies have title problems indeed, but at least the trailers are all right.

I think that the 2nd movie (hopefully there will be one) will just be LSASOUE 2 and use The Situation Worsens as the tagline.

I think the second one should be called "Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events: The Situation Worsens".

But Tocuna is right, that would be a bit long. Maybe itll just be two. Or matybe they will use THE SITUATION WORSENS because tehn it will signal the contiuation of the story instead of a sequel.
Whatever, theyll figure it out, right? ^_^

Why would you behead me? Its not my decision as to what they name the next film. Im just pretty sure itll be plain and simple with a 2 on the end. But I could be wrong (I hope I am).

I was only kidding. I wouldn't behead you, I'd behead... pop. *Shrugs* The best title for the second movie would probably be The Situation Worsens.
