Most of you probably know this, but the snicket's sister is known as "K." Well, theres a Ms. K in TAA. Now on pg. 142, it circles a woman (which is most likely Ms. K) and says "Will I ever see her again?" Hes most likely talking about someone he loves dearly, which is probably is sister. It also says that Ms. K took two kids by their ankles and took them away. This is what VFD does when they are recruiting neophytes. Also on pg. 131, it gives a list of books that Ms. K assigned, lik e"The Coded Poetry of Edgar Allen Poe," the Ivan Lachrymose and etc. Chapter 8 pretty much proves that the Snicket sister, K, is Ms. K.

Oh wow. I'd never thought of that. But... shouldn't she technically be Ms. S, then? Anyway, otherwise it makes good sense. Your Majesty, I'm under the impression that K is hiding away somewhere (LS says somewhere in... is it TCC? that he's coming to find his sister, and I thought she was in the mountains somewhere). She could have been kidnapped, too, I guess. I might just be making this up, though. I'm not sure where in TCC it would be, or even if it is in TCC, so I'm having some difficulty finding it again. *shrug*

Yes, somewhere in TCC it talks about his sister being alive, and Lemony being on his way to find her. I think Ms. K is one and the same with K., Jacques twin and Lemony's sister, though oddly enough one of the children was left behind when the other children were recruited for VFD (LSUA)

Jin, I think that is a great theory. I hadn't made that connection with any certainty before. Of course, the possibility was there, but now that you have all this evidence, I have to agree. The only question now, is why then didn't she then contact the baudelaires if she was a part of V.F.D.?

The Snicket sister is the Baud's mom: Look at the evidence:
In THH, in the Snicket file, there is a page where we see J, L, and the Baud's parents. Why would the Baud parents be in the Snicket file? It was a family picture. J, K, and L all together, and then K's husband, Mr. Baud. Violet said she'd heard the name Snicket, which she wuld have if J and L were her uncles. Also,in TUA, the VFD meeting; K says, I know what infiltrated means. Kids sometimes get quotes from their parents. Also, in TSS, when Lemony is trying to bore us with the long climb, he includes a letter where he talks about the good food she makes, and later Sunny remembers a food her mother had taught her, with the exact same, or almost the same ingriedients as L had said. One more thing: Notice how L talks about his sister alot, but he never says her name, He just says: My dear sister, or someting close.

So Mrs. Baud is K and K is Ms. K. Maybe, Mrs. Baud is following them, but getting there too late.

Beatrice is Mrs. Baud. I know that next to the anagram on the patient list and in the article about Beatrice performing, which both suggest this, there is an anagram of Red Herring, but there is one other piece of evidence.
In TWW, Lemony Snicket says something like "I have seen a woman I loved be carried by a beast up to its high mountain nest." In TEE, Jerome says how he was hiking up Mt. Fraught (yes the mount fraught near VFD headquarters) with Mrs. Baud when, "suddenly, swooping out of the sky -"
Fill in the blanks.
Anyway, whatever is swooping out of the sky is obviously the eagles trained by those two creepy dudes in TSS.
Whoever suggested that K Snicket is Mrs. Baud, well, the thing about the Snicket file isn't proof. About the recipe, it could have been a recipe common among VFDers.

about these books that she assigned, i think that all the books have something to do with the solving of the mysteries Ramona-there is a R, she is 9 & her sisters name is BEatrice Green Mansions- some person attended a meeting placed in a green mansion (into LSUA) also VFD mansions are made of Green lumber (emerald lumber) Lucky Smells Lumbermill- Where emerald lumber is produced Ivan Lachrymose-the coded message ASOUE- duh! Coded Edgar Allen Poe-Dh has used examples from him can anyone else think of things for others?

the salad recipe was suggested at a PICNIC. there was a 4th (?) Annual codebreaking PICNIC. and if lemony remembers the recipe, theres a good chance Beatrice Baudelaire remembered it too.

i dont think Mrs Baudelaire can be Beatrice because if u look in the index of LSUA there's evidence leading me to believe that Beatrice died at a fire at the Vineyard of Fragrant Grapes when she was going to marry Lemony Snicket.

They never married. Word of something (?) got round to Beatrice and she broke off the engement and married someone else, they communicated through carrier pidgeon, which is how she informed him of their breakup. can anyone remember which book that is from?
