I'm sure most of you have already thought of these theories and will be really sarcastic while criticizing me. That seems to be 667's favorite thing to do.
So, in L.S.'s Autobiography.... On chapter 3, pages 39-40, it bassically tells you the Baudelaires are being trained. If this is false, then all of my theories are wrong. If not, then..... Well:
I think Olaf used to be a V.F.D. member, still is, in a way. He hasn't officialy quit/been fired. When the Baudelaires are in his care, he goes to the dark side when still a member and supposedly 'good.' V.F.D. might not even know this (most liekly they do), that he is no longer on their side and really does just want the Baudelaires' money....or something else, possibly?
I could be totally wrong, though. Olaf can just be a member helping train the Bauds.
Lemony Snicket and The Hook-Handed man. Is it possible they are the same person? They have both spoke of Beatrice in a loving way. Is it possible Lemony is Hook-Handed man, and Hook-Handed man is Klaus, Violet, and Sunny's.....bum bum bum, FATHER?
Also, from reading the bio, I think the cab driver in TBB is in V.F.D., Justice Strauss, Clown at the Anxious Clown, possiibly Jerome, difinitley Jacques and Lemony, so many more people in the series, and also...THE QUAGMIRES! I have come to the conclusion that all along, Isadora, Quigley, and Duncan have known of V.F.D. and are all members. They do seem to know a lot about it. Young people are apparently allowed to be in the organization. I have read something in the bio that made me think all of that about the Quags.
Oh, also, I believe a whole lot of people in the books are in V.F.D. You know, keeping an eye on the kids. Like people you wouldn't think twice about (cab driver for example), small characters which are only mentioned once or twice. Also big characters you wouldn't think of (optimistic perhaps, Sir).
In LS's Auto, Nero writes Carelita Spats' parents a letter apologizing for letting them read things the students shouldn't. What.does.that.tell.you? I'll bet you Miss SPATS's parents are involved somehow. Also, I bet one or more of their first initials start with a J.
