Mixed feelings. On the one hand, this is great, everyone who contributed, and I’ve just gained a ton of new respect for Pandora. On the other hand, it was a bit mean to Akbar, especially you, PJ, though I’ll admit I’m glad that you only did this because I was dreading something a lot worse.
I just wish you guys would quit fighting and be able to both appreciate the parody and refrain from attacking members in the paper. Or something. It’s put a damper on the fun atmosphere Pandora’s trying to create.

Hi Linda. Akbar's less mad now. And PJ is mad at Akbar right now so his article reflects that but I don't think his column will always be about why Akbar is mean. Unless we start a column called why "Why Akbar is mean". Hey thanks for the great idea Linda.

It's nice to see a parody with some effort put into it--it's more amusing that way. PJ, I think you're overreacting. Akbar has the right to edit your stuff. He's not a dictator or anything. On the other hand, Akbar, you needn't get so upset. If your magazine is worth it to make fun of, then it is appreciated.

Well, you shouldn't have changed PJ's karma link and whatnot. And just because you're the editor doensn't give you the right to change titles. And bad spelling and grammar is a reflection on the reporter, NOT on you.

Well an editor is supposed to edit grammar and spelling if the person didn't intend to make the mistakes. But Akbar doesn't really have the right to do anything else without discussing it with whoever wrote the article.
I know all this because I am editor now.

Yes, it's amazing the knowledge one gains once (s)he becomes an editor. I would too know. I was one in another life.
This made me laugh.
Editing should just be for spelling/grammar - Akbar went overboard a bit; PJ overreacted a bit; Akbar overreacted a bit in turn as well. People always make things so dramatic.
Oh, and JFK was shot??! A travesty.

Wow! I'm really impressed that you did all of this within a few hours. Readable start to finish. The banner is lovely, I could stare at it all day. Honestly.
I wish you'd let me write for you guys though )':

Kyle, you are more than welcome to write an article. Don't make yourself out to be the victim here. I've been waiting for your article since last night! I'm the victim.
I know because I'm an editor. Im equipped to tell who's the victim in a situation. Setnick knows how it goes.

We should have an issue entirely devoted to the banner. That's how good it is.

Eh, Akbar, it's not the actual editing that I mind, if done properly, sure, I wouldn't mind. But the way you were doing it just seemed, I dunno, like you were delibaretly sabotaging my article or something. You made random changes that didn't really need to be in there, and took stuff away or left stuff out that I thought would enrich my article. It was as though you thought that because you were the editor, you had to edit stuff, so you where just looking for stuff to edit for the sake of it. It was very irritating and bizarre, and you never seemed to listen, or even care when I complained to you on MSN. But yeah, this should be fun. And Akbar, you shouldn't try and see this as a deliberate attack on everything you stand for; the 667er will probably do better with the competition, anyways. Or we'll crush you and seize your market power. I have never, never edited an opinon, unless it's in a news item. ....but Akbar, isn't it all just news items? Or am I mixing up the term with something else? Besides, there was that J., thing, with the plastics.

It was okay...I only read the first article, the others were kind of boring. But I liked the article I read. But my menstruation article was spectacular!

This whole thing was sheer brilliance. I might even write for this if possible. It'd be so fun.
I liken this paper's relationship to the 667er, to People magazine's realtionship with TIME. TIME is a magazine giving us facts, stories we need to hear. People gives us our comedic relief. Stories that are slightly opinionated, but are fun all teh same.
