That might be true for some bi women. The question is, would it be possible for such a relationship to be stable? And if they got officially married, would it work out? No, that's not the question, really. The same questions can be raised about heterosexual monogamy, and oftentimes are more liekley to be answered "No."

True, true. If we were to ban marriages that could lead to unstable relationships and family discord, as polygamous and gay marriages will according to some, we'd have to outlaw marriage entirely.

Marriage is for procreation and to create stable families/monogomous relationships. Also it's a relgious union, but I suppose that wouldn't matter to you. The thing is, a common modern misconception is that the entire purpose of marriage is to "make you whole and happy" or some such romantic nonsense. No.

No. it is also a common misconception to beleive that marriage is a purely christian/catholic/whatever concept... other religions have had marriage, some most likely even before christianity and all that sort of business...

Yes, marriage is an ancient custom, though Christianity did kind of "mainstream" it. But traditionally marriage has always been what I said, for the purpose of a stable relationship and most likely children. Today with divorce being so common, the "sanctity" (I dont like that word) of marriage is being destroyed. I know that heterosexual couples aren't doing the best with marriage right now, but let's try to preserve and, hopefully, regain some of the class and beauty that marriage once had. Let's not pervert it and turn it into a "anybody can do it" fling for those no matter what their tastes.

And it's not like marriage hasn't been desanctified and perverted at times. Think about TV shows such as "who wants to marry a millionaire clairvoyant?" or whatever it was called. They turn marriage into a game, entertainment for the proverbial lowest common denominator.

For the same reasons you just mentioned: it desanctafies and perverts marriage. And the post about "fun": that's disgusting. Keep the kinky dreams OUT of marriage.

i thougth that was wat they were all about No, they used to practice polygamy, but that practice was discontinued quite a while ago. And that was never the main focus of the religion.

Allright, assuming that marraige is meant for procreation and to create stable families.
Anyone who is sterile or cannot procreate safely therefore should not be allowed to marry? Even if they are deply religious and heterosexual and capable of creating a stable relationship?
