Yes, allof that is junk, I listen to only AC/DC, Rolling Stones, Elvis and the Beatles. Which sucks, because all the kids at my school like that new junk, and if you don't know all the lyrics to them, your "uncool." And, at the school dances it's just this huge ponding music (If you can call it that), with angry people yelling. That, is the voice of that generation.

I hate heavy metal music where all they do is shout. Its pants and i dont like rap or r n b and garage and all that codswollop. Whoever it was that said queen rock is cool. Queen are fab and dont laugh but abba are pretty good too..... But alot of music these days is good like Franz ferdinand, The hives etc. The question is, in the music industry today, do you need any talent? The number 1 song at the moment in the UK is Call on Me by Eric Prydz. Its good and i like it but it requires not talent to make. A blind pigeon could of recorded something just as good. Celebrities who have been on reality tv programs or somthing get record contracts to boost their fame but they have no talent. There was also the song by Eamon who sang about his ex-girlfriend who had an affair and then his ex came back and sang the exact same song with differnt words. It was obvioulsy a money making scam because otherwise surely he would sue for stealing his song...

Heavy metal music is good and wonderful. The crap where they scream is just that, salsa. Good metal has melody and skilled playing and singing.

I don't listen to much popular music, if any at all. I think the lyrics are bland and unimaginative. Oddly enough, I've actually come to have a respect for the rap medium, but I'm just not a fan of many rap songs.
It's the opposite for industrial. I hate industrial, but Skinny Puppy can put forth amazing amazing music.

I went through a phase last year for a few months were I listened to "cool" music. Ohh, I can't belive I could actually stand listening to that now. I listen to alot of rock. But only good rock. The kind with a bigger hope than just to be as loud and scream-y and possible. Mostly the more un-known bands like Something Corporate (<33) I also like alternitive. Rap is just.....awful.

Popular music just godawful. That's why I remain listening to the older music, the clasics and the not-so-classic classics. Iron Maiden, Simon and Garfunkel, Paul Simon... I carpool with my best friend and she always forgets her cd player so we listen to the tapes she has like Simon and Garfunkel, The Beatles, Paul Simon, and Bob Marley. Thats all I had to say because I've had Paul Simon in my head for the past week. *love*
