I like Thorin Oakenshield, myself. Or Gimli or Balin. Rawr, I love all of those guys I can't choose! Nice thread, snakes. Those are, ah, dwarves. Not hobbits. Argh this is so hard to choose. I think I'll pick Frodo even though I quite like Pippin. *totally headdesk* Oops. I feel stupid. Who else feels stupid? *sees no one's hand being raised* ... I feel stupider.

Don't feel stupid, I've done that before.

Don't worry, just modify the post so it talks about hobbits. Then I'll look stupid for quoting a post that no longer exists.

I like Sam the most, followed by Merry.

Merry is hilarious, dancing with Pippin during that party in Meduseld.

Sam is my hero. I truly believe that Frodo wouldn't have made it without him.
However, many years ago, I had a button that said, "Frodo Lives." I wish I knew where it was now. It would probably be a collector's item.

Hm. Saruman said Frodo wouldn't have health or a long life. Which is hard to believe knowing that he and Bilbo are off to the undying lands. Hum.

Saruman doesn't know what he's talking about

He could know what he's talking about. Even the stupidest of lotr characters tend to have a bit of foresight. And seeing how Frodo's been so deeply wounded it's not too hard to believe that he'll succumb to death a bit before his prime.
