I absolutely love Star Wars, it's a family trait to do so, my father took me to see A New Hope in theatres when I was five years old and they were doing the re-releases. I fell in love with all things Star Wars after that, I begged my mother to do my hair like Princess Leia's (turns out it's not physically possible without a wig, fie!) carried a cardboard blaster I made for myself everywhere, tried to dress my dog up as Chewbacca, and constantly quoted the films. As an adult, I still love them very much, and enjoy watching them again each year on May the 4th.

I've been loving Star Wars since I first saw the films in 7th grade (4 years ago). I've been a huge, gigantic, freaky fan ever since. I've written fanfiction, taken part in RP's, attempted to cosplay, and done pretty much everything else a humble fan can do. Lady Whatever, you're right about Leia's hair being impossible without a wig. lol I can't wait for May the 4th!

I watched them in episode order, and that was good for me, but probably release order would be better because the prequels are more...intense. Better for saving till the end. Revenge of the Sith is a great episode to end on.

I read some of that post thing, and it bothered me a little at one point. It said, "Anakin is not a relatable character." I personally think Anakin is a very relatable character. I cry every time I watch episode three, when he turns to the Dark Side, because I can see where he's coming from. He's doing something wrong for what he considers a right motive. If you look at Star Wars as a journey, and you go on that journey with Anakin (whom I agree with George Lucas that Star Wars is really about), then he's an intensely relatable character. I think the problem is that people don't like to relate to Anakin, because he makes so many wrong choices and has so many problems. But his character is a deep and emotional one, and I hate to hear people bashing him and his character and his role in the films.
tl;dr
I realize this has nothing to do with anything we were talking about, and it definitely is not directed toward you in any way, BSam!, because I know your purpose was to share the order (which I find intriguing, and I'm thinking about trying, even thought I've seen the films tons of times, just to see how I like it). That's just my soapbox for the day. That is all.

I don't have (m)any good memories of Star Wars, all of them are quite unpleasant. I first saw A New Hope at the age of five when it was re-released for its 20th anniversary. I don't remember much of it as my mum had to take out of the cinema after something scared me. (I can't remember what it was ) So I never got to watch the other films. But I eventually watched them all in order with my dad three years later. I puked during Phantom Menace. I can't remember why, but it was definitely pink/red. And I saw the newer films at the cinema, but didn't like them at all. The one that came out in 2002 was just terrible. So yeah, I DON'T MIND A New Hope so much, I don't hate it, but I don't like it either. I just don't like the franchise. Like at all. Just my two cents

I'm not saying he'd make a good friend but you can definitely relate to him. He's going down the path he doesn't want to but he believes he is doing the right thing and does it out of love. Even that shows you that he is capable of loving someone and just how much they really mean to him that he would go to extreme lengths for. Again, like you said, because in his mind it is the right thing to do. His mum was taken away from him and like a normal teenager (or someone who hasn't been trained as much as say Obi-Wan or Yoda) acts accordingly and unfortunately that is with rage and hatred. He hasn't learnt patience and he hasn't lost anyone before which makes him try even harder to hold on to Padme.
