If Pierre were alive, he'd be pushing 100, wouldn't he?

Over 100. Michelle was born in April of 1986 and Pierre turned 53 that September.

So Pierre wasn't just an older dad to Michelle. He was an older dad to the triplets as well, since he turned 41 the year they were born. How much older than Lisa was the triplet's mother?

She was 10 years older than Lisa. Lisa was 32 when she had Michelle.

Seymour Glass Yep. Ch. 7 I have fantasies about what my little girl would look like. Sometimes, she has Vince's dark brown hair that is in my curls and has my mom's green eyes. Other times, she has my blonde hair and hazel eyes. And sometimes, she'll even have red hair and green eyes, just like my sister. On February 26th, at just over 24 weeks, I went in for the 1 hour glucose tolerance test. Thank god it was scheduled at 8 am, because I had to fast overnight for the test. When I came in, the nurse gave me this fruit punch flavored glucose drink and a cup of ice and told me to drink the entire drink quickly. The drink was absolutely disgusting, it made me nauseated for the entire hour I waited between the consumption of the demon juice and when the nurse took my blood. Reverie was kicking like batsalsa crazy the whole time. March 1st was District Solo and Ensemble. Between a heavy course load, work, and being pregnant, I still have managed to prepare an oboe solo, a clarinet/oboe duet, a clarinet/flute/oboe trio, a vocal solo, a vocal duet, a musical theatre solo, and a piano solo. And I got *1's on all of my events except for my piano solo, which I got a 1 rating. I get to perform at State Solo and Ensemble at on April 12th for all of my events, except for piano. The judge didn't know that I had a job at a music store, teaching piano lessons. On March 15th, my mom, my dad, my younger brother, my younger sister, and I flew to California for spring break. My 27 year old cousin Beatrice was getting married, and I'm one of her bridesmaids. So what if I'm 27 weeks pregnant? I don't feel uncomfortable yet. The dresses were long and Carolina blue, but were each cut differently and had different necklines. Mine was empire waisted, to accommodate my belly, which has gotten so big, I cannot see my feet when I look down. The dress also had fairly thick straps, because I cannot go braless due to my now 34F breasts. As if I could go braless before I was pregnant, being a 32DD. After we got back to grandma's house after the reception on March 17th, I texted Vince. Vince was in Myrtle Beach with his dad, Penny, and Anya. Vince texted me, "Hey baby Mama " I replied, "How's Myrtle Beach?" Vince said, "Great. I have something to bring you when we come back." I replied, "Oh cool." Vince said, "How was the wedding? And how was California?" I replied, "Great. I'm exhausted though. And Reverie is kicking the crap out of me. We're staying at my Grandma Lisa's house in San Francisco." Vince asked, "How did your grandma react to the news of you being pregnant?" I replied, "Shocked, at first. But she then started to accept it, and now she's excited to be a great-grandmother. She sent me a lot of baby girl clothes after we found out that Reverie is a girl." ******* When we got home from California, Vince and his family were also home. Vince gave me a conch shell. He also had a blue flannel elephant for Reverie's room. Reverie's room is coming together so well. The walls have been painted since the end of December. We've bought the crib, the changing table. and dresser last month with Vince and my tax returns. We have a crib sheet on the mattress and we have several spares (the only things that should be in the crib are a fitted sheet and your baby). We have a baby monitor. All we need are some decorations to make it look even more like a nursery. And the blue flannel elephant was one of the decorations. ******* April 5th, 2036 was prom night. It's the juniors' prom, with them being on prom court. However, seniors are also invited. If a junior or senior has a guest who is a freshman or sophomore, they are allowed to be at prom. However, if a guest doesn't go to school here, then they need a guest pass from the school. I wore a dress that was similar to my bridesmaid dress, except it was shorter and in red. Vince wore a matching dress shirt, a black tie, black trousers, and black shoes. My shoes were black flats, since it wouldn't be sensible for somebody in her third trimester of pregnancy to wear high heels. We stayed until just after the announcement of Prom King and Prom Queen. Since I was the Prom Queen last year, I handed the crown to the Sandrine Leonidas, the new prom queen. After I got home, I took off my makeup, changed into my PJs, and fell asleep. It's obvious I'm growing a baby, so mama needs to sleep. ******* Today, April 12th, 2036, is the day I go to Towson University to perform at State Solo and Ensemble. Since my oboe solo was my first event, at 8 am, no less, I had to leave Chevy Chase at 6:45 to drive an hour to Towson. Nevertheless, I performed well, getting a 1 rating. I finished my last event, my trio, at 3:00. Not once, during all of the events, did a judge gave me a nasty look for being almost 31 weeks pregnant. I took home 1 rating's on all of my events at state. After I got home, I crashed into my bed. Reverie kicked me in the ribs after I laid down. I have a little more than nine weeks left before I get to meet my daughter. And for her to stop putting her feet and butt into my ribs.

That glucose tolerance test doesn't sound very pleasant. What is it for, may I ask? Is it a test for gestational diabetes?

Yep. I have friends who have kids, and they had to take the 1 hour glucose tolerance test. They had to drink this syrupy, glucose drink and wait an hour. I know a few women who had to take the 3 hour test, because their 1 hour glucose tolerance test results were at a high enough level to cause concern.

I agree with Beth about that glucose tolerance test. I can't think of a more fitting description than 'demon juice' Willow's bridesmaid dress sounds so pretty, as does the one she wore to prom. I didn't go to mine, but from what I heard, ours had the same rule, where a senior (or junior, as we also had a junior prom), could take someone younger, but needed permission from the principal, if the person went to a different school. Reverie's room sounds so cute! It was so sweet of Vince to buy her the flannel elephant, and bring back the conch for Willow. I certainly hope their yearbook have a category for Best Boyfriend. ^^

Ch. 8 When Vince and I went in for my 34 week appointment, I had the usual stuff done. I had my weight and blood pressure taken (I've gained 20 pounds so far, which is good), a urine sample taken, my hands, ankles, and face checked for swelling (my face and hands are a tiny bit swollen, but within normal range), Reverie's heartbeat taken (nice and strong), and my fundal height (I measure at 37 cm and I'm 34 weeks, which caused a little bit of concern for Dr. Cunningham). Because I was measuring bigger, Dr. Cunningham ordered an ultrasound, which I haven't had since we found out the sex. The only thing "wrong" that Dr. Cunningham found is that Reverie is a big girl, and it's estimated that if she's born at 40 weeks, she'll be a little over 9 pounds. Holy salsa. But, I was 8 pounds 3 ounces and Vince was almost 11 pounds. And no, I do not have gestational diabetes. My sister was 9 pounds at birth, and our mom had her naturally. If my mom can have a 9 pounder naturally, so can I. ******* I celebrated my first Mother's Day as a mother-to-be on May 11th, being 35 weeks pregnant to the day. Vince picked me up and took me to Bistro Vivant in McLean, Virginia, for lunch. I had chicken, while he had lamb roulade. After the waiter set our meals down, Vince said to me, "We've been through so many things for the three years we've been together, good things and bad." I replied, "I know, dear." Vince said, "You're my lover, my best friend, and the mother of my unborn child. The one thing missing is… My wife… Willow Maureen Beaudoin, will you marry me?" I replied, "Oh Vince." Vince said, "You don't have to answer right now." I replied, with joy, "Yes, I'll be your wife!" Vince pulled me into his arms, rubbing my heavily pregnant belly. Reverie gave a strong, healthy kick. Vince said, "That's our baby girl. June 15th can't come fast enough." I gave my fiancé (Gotta get used to saying that!) a kiss. Yes, I'm 17, almost 18, but I want to be with Vince for the rest of my life. He also wants to be with me for the rest of his life, which is the reason why he proposed to me in the first place. Though, it will be a couple years before we actually get married. ******* The week after Mother's Day was my baby shower. We had so much fun at it. One game was a guessing pool of Reverie's birthweight. I got guesses from as small as 7 pounds 7 ounces to as big as 9 pounds 15 ounces. I personally have a feeling that she will be 8 pounds 10 ounces at birth. Vince thinks she'll be 9 pounds even. We also played a game of how many squares of toilet paper does it take to fit around my belly. Vince won. I guess that's because he always wraps his arms around me, being protective of me and his unborn daughter. We got everything we wanted and more. I honestly feel blessed. I got clothes in sizes from 0-3 months to 2T. We requested not to bring newborn clothes, because our baby is most like not going to fit in them when she is born. However, in the circumstance in that if that she is too small for 0-3 months, then Vince or Penny will run out and buy some newborn clothes. We got the car seats we wanted, one for my car, one for Vince's car. They were both big purchases, but they are required and will keep her safe. The good thing about those seats is that they will last us until she reaches 48 inches tall or weighs 65 pounds, whichever comes first. We also got a lot of small things, like toiletries for Reverie and nursing pads for me when I start leaking. The people who bought those small things saved me a trip to Target to buy those things, which will be more difficult to make once Reverie is born and especially when I start school in September. Four more weeks until our baby girl is here. We can't wait!

Ch. 9 May 23rd, 2036 "Happy birthday, Willow!" My mom and Reverie woke me up. Since the senior brunch and the graduation rehearsal was yesterday, I didn't have to show up to school today. When I walked into the dining room, Vince surprised me. He said, "Happy birthday, baby." I replied, "Thanks, dear." I had my favorite foods for breakfast: orange juice, scrambled eggs, and veggie bacon. Reverie appreciated it, by giving me some healthy kicks. I spent the day at home, with Vince and my family. Vince and I cuddled in bed, with his hands rubbing my huge belly. Reverie was moving around, saying "hello" to her daddy. I have a feeling that she will be a daddy's girl. At dinner, I had my cake. Dad made me a jelly roll cake with strawberry jam and whipped cream filling. I liked the quiet day with loved ones. Some people have parties up to the nines for their 18th birthdays, but I would rather have a quiet day with loved ones. ******* May 24th, 2036 Today is the day I graduate. I graduate not just salutatorian or summa cum laude, but also at 36 weeks and 6 day pregnant. My daughter has dropped into my pelvis, but I'm not likely to go into labor on my graduation day, thank god. Under my gown, I'm wearing a cream colored lace maternity dress that comes to just above my knees. For shoes, I'm wearing blue, flat stripy sandals. I'm very pregnant, plus the ceremony is at the football field, so wearing heels for not just me, but for everybody. My gown is navy blue. The rewards I get to wear my gold summa cum laude stole, for graduating with at least a 3.9 unweighted GPA, my pink cords for being in Tri-M (the music honor society), my gold cords for being in the National Honor Society, and my salutatorian medallion. Yes everybody. I did it. Today I graduate as salutatorian. Yes, I had a teen pregnancy thrown in there, but that is no excuse for letting grades slip. If anything, I busted my butt even more. I didn't want to have any scholarships revoked just because my grades slipped. And more scholarships means more of my own money to invest into my daughter. I arrived early, to put my water bottle and my silly string under my chair, to set up my oboe in my band chair for the senior piece (yes, I'm still playing the oboe at almost 37 weeks pregnant. My doctor said it was fine, since I've been playing it since 9th grade), and to get ready to walk. Instead of walking to my chair, between Gretchen Beatty and Zane Benner, I walked to my chair on the platform. After everybody was at their chairs, Principal Fenimore lowered his arms, to signal the graduating class to be seated. Principal Fenimore said, "Welcome to the Class of 2036 commencement. Our first speaker is our salutatorian, Willow Beaudoin. Willow is co-president of Tri-M and a member of the National Honor Society. She will be attending the University of Maryland at College Park in the fall to study Music Education. So I'm going to hand over the podium to Willow." I walked up to the podium, panned the area, and said, "Welcome Class of 2036 and guests! It has been a long 4 years since we started here. Lets go back to the first day of school of our Freshman Year. August 22nd, 2032. The year of disco pants, crop tops, platform boots not unlike David Bowie, the dreaded drop crotch jumpsuits, and creeper shoes. The year of the election. And the school year of the boiler room fire, in the 20 degree weather. Man, that annoyed most everybody. I, for an example, was missing band class. Sophomore year. Principal Fenimore replaced Principal Schultz. Which meant we were under a new leadership. It was also the year of going to state. From football to volleyball to lacrosse, many teams went to state. Junior year was the year of the loss of open campus lunch for our class. Yes, it was caused by a few people abusing the system, but we learned our lesson and at least had open campus privileges the following year. Junior year was also the year of the microwave incident in the teacher's lounge. And when the class ahead of us wanted to TP Mrs. Grenier's house, but accidentally TP'ed her neighbor's house. This year was the year of obstacles, inside of school and outside. I personally had a major obstacle thrown in my life: an unexpected pregnancy. But I persevered and I managed to stay on top of things. If I haven't had stayed on top of things, I wouldn't be up here speaking with you. To the Class of 2036, Happy graduation!" I received a standing ovation from the crowd. I then want to my seat in the band. We played our senior piece, "Imagine" by John Lennon. I was crying inside. After our performance, Mrs. Grenier, my band director, gave me a side hug, since I'm too big for a regular hug. I then went and sat down in my seat between Gretchen and Zane. Our faculty speaker, Mr. Kirkpatrick, a popular Social Studies teacher, made his speech. Then I joined with the senior choir to sing "Finale B". Principal Fenimore made a small speech. Then it was the time for the diplomas. Since there is 395 people in my class, and 385 walking, it will take a long time for everybody to get their diplomas (Well, covers. We get our actual diplomas in the mail). Several people got their diploma covers before Vince. "Vincent James Astor, summa cum laude, University of Maryland at College Park." Then several people between Vince and Gretchen, the girl sitting next to me, got their covers. "Gretchen Elizabeth Beatty, cum laude, Michigan State University." "Willow Maureen Beaudoin, summa cum laude, Salutatorian, University of Maryland at College Park." After everybody else got their covers, Principal Fenimore said, "With the authority of the State of Maryland, Montgomery County Public Schools, and Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School, Class of 2036, turn your tassels. You are now alumni!" We all popped the caps off our cans of silly string and sprayed it. Yes, it was a little stinky, but at least we were outside. After all of the silly string was sprayed, we collected our things and met with our families. Vince's stepmom, dad, and stepsister were by my parents, Aiden, Regina, Jordan, and Imogen. I got tons of side hugs from my family and my fiancé's family. We went to Buca's, in Washington DC, to celebrate. After the long day, I crashed into my bed. I swear, Reverie also calmed down. She was pretty active today at graduation. I bet she is proud of her mommy graduating high school, as Salutatorian, no less.
