Maureen: Patrick, Tallulah, Kelly, McCormick, and I are going to New Zealand in a little over 2 weeks, because Patrick's sister Caroline and her husband Joseph live there. Also, Patrick and Caroline's parents are coming. It's during a school holiday for Caroline and Joseph (and me and Tallulah), so we have tons of stuff to do. We're renting a house through AirBnB, as are my in-laws. ******* Caroline: I'll be 32 in September, I'm married, I'm a high school English teacher, I'm expecting my first kid in the beginning of January, and I still like Animal Crossing, Sailor Moon, Hello Kitty, and Pokemon. When I lived in Japan, my flip phone (Japanese flip phones are a lot more capable than North American flip phones) was always decorated with a charm from either Animal Crossing, Sailor Moon, Hello Kitty, or Pokemon. When I moved to New Zealand last year, I got my first smartphone. I also got some of those plugs with a jump ring that you plug into your headphone jack so cellphone charms can still be used.

Caroline: I have been making videos since 2010, when I moved to Japan to teach English. I haven't uploaded much since January of 2015, since that was when I started my teaching job in New Zealand. Though, I just announced my pregnancy on my channel and I did a tutorial on decoden for a phone case. I'll be uploading some vlogs after I go to the North Island with my family this weekend. My parents, my brother, my sister in law, and my brother's kids are visiting Joseph and I. ******* Samantha: Micah and I love In-N-Out. Yes, we have In-N-Out in Texas, though most of the Texas In-N-Outs are in the DFW Metroplex, where my parents live. There is one location in Austin, though, with a second one opening soon. My favorite is the Double Double Protein Style with mustard grilled patties. My husband's favorite is a Double Double Animal Style with ketchup. ******* Caroline: Joseph and I like to make onigiri out of leftover rice. We put fillings in like beetroot, sweet potato, umeboshi, natto, tuna salad, chicken salad, salmon, egg salad, konbu, okaka... Like we get creative. There are some asian markets in Dunedin, so I can easily procure the umeboshi, natto, konbu, and okaka. There is this one place Joseph and I go to so frequently, they know us on a first name basis. Lately, I've been craving umeboshi, so I've been putting it in my onigiri. I want the sourness of the umeboshi. Many pregnant women crave citrus or pickles, I crave umeboshi.

Violet: During my senior year of high school, I got waitlisted at Stanford. I was slightly disappointed, but then I got accepted into UC-Berkeley. Fast forward to now, and I have a degree in Computer Science and Engineering and now I work for a huge company in Silicon Valley as an Software Engineer. I've been working for this company for 3 years in sales, but now I'm working my dream job in engineering. I'm also engaged to my long time boyfriend, Quigley. He still has a year to go at USC for his degree in GeoDesign, but after he graduates, he's moving up to Union City to live with me.

I definitely agree that Violet would be working in Silicon Valley.

Yes! I actually started a fanfic about the day Violet graduates from college.

Klaus: Can I borrow a pencil?
Teacher: I don't know. Can you?
Klaus: Yes. I might add that colloquial irregularities occur frequently in any language. Since you and the rest of our present company understood my intended meaning, being particular about the distinctions between "can" and "may" is purely pedantic and arguably pretentious.

Michelle: This summer, I did some things. I went back to San Francisco for 10 days, I worked on Hugo's upcoming album, spent time with my son, and played some shows and at a wedding. I played shows in Boston, New York City, Philadelphia, and Washington DC. And I played for my friends Rob and Chad's wedding, which was in Provincetown. Oh, and I have a cover that I did in May that surpassed my previous most viewed video. I have 4 million views on my cover of "See You Again" by Wiz Khalifa featuring Charlie Puth. So right now I'm getting ready to go back for my second and final year of my master's. I have meetings and convocation to go to this month. And some planning. But, appearance related, I bought some heavily discounted clothes from Brooks Brothers. I could buy at full price, but I rarely purchase clothes at full price. I also got my roots touched up and my undercut sheared. Jordan knows that mommy will be going back to school soon. ******* Caroline: So my husband and I found out the sex of our baby on Friday and we announced it to our students on Monday. Our daughter, Moana Fumiko Kay Warren, will be here in the beginning of January. We decided on a Maori name, because Joseph is half Maori; a Japanese name, because I'm half Japanese; and Kay, because we just like it for a middle name. My mom won't be in the delivery room, but Joseph's mom will be. I love my mother-in-law. The thing is, she sees me as one of her own.

Violet: I am a software engineer in Silicon Valley with a Computer Engineering degree from UC-Berkeley and yet, I suck at cooking. But I'm learning. My favorite dishes are slow cooker ones and chop up, dump, and cook ones. I made a pasta bake the other night and it turned out well. I did not have to boil pasta or brown the beef or anything or anything. I just spread out the ground beef on the bottom of the dish, added the uncooked rotini, then jarred tomato basil sauce, and topped it with shredded mozzarella cheese. ******* Michelle: Hugo and I got married over 4 years ago. I wore this dress that was mermaid cut to accentuate my hourglass figure. It was strapless, but it fit properly, so I wasn't spilling out nor the dress was sliding towards my waist. And it was ivory, instead of stark white, because my olive skin looks sickly in stark white. Plus my Belgian lace veil was more ivory than stark white. I wanted a colored wedding dress, but my mom insisted on buying my dress. So we compromised with a dress that accentuates my curves and doesn't make me look sickly.

Nero: Any questions?
Klaus: Yeah, I have a question. Does Barry Manilow know you raid his wardrobe?

Caroline: My YouTube channel used to be called "CarolinetheALT" when I was an ALT for JET in Ichihara. I started my YouTube channel as something for my family and friends and former students back home to keep up with me. It's now called "Caroline in Aotearoa" and I still make vlogs about life, but in New Zealand.

Michelle: I'm 30 years old today. I'm going to be editing my masters thesis and taking my son summer clothes shopping. And have a glass of wine or two for dinner.

Michelle: One of my first covers on YouTube was of "The Luckiest" by Ben Folds. In 2011, when Hugo and I got married, it was our first dance song. I remember when it first came out in 2001. I kept it in the back of my head that I want to use that song for the first dance at my wedding. ******* Samantha: I read this article about a 30 year old woman who fought to get her tubal covered by the NHS and the comments were a cesspool. There was one person that was like, "I can't have kids due to PCOS and this lady thinks she can be sterilized on the NHS." I also have PCOS and it's more difficult to get pregnant naturally. But I don't want interfere with other people's reproductive choices just because I have a condition that causes subfertility. Talk about sour grapes. ******* Ernest: Hannah and I went to see "Deadpool" in February. And what do you know, parents bringing their kids to a movie that is definitely not for children. I'm not talking about teenagers, I'm talking about young kids. There was someone who brought their toddler and a 5 year old to "Deadpool" in the row in behind us and the toddler was kicking my seat out of boredom. Hannah and I have a 2 and a half year old and she was being babysat by my parents when we were on the movie date. Da fuq, parents? Stop taking your children to R-rated movies. ******* Willow: I was 17 when I got pregnant with Reverie. I not only stayed in my own high school, in AP classes, but I graduated on time as salutatorian. I walked across the stage and had a speech at the ceremony, while almost 36 weeks pregnant. Teen pregnancy is NO excuse to dropping out. I had a low risk pregnancy and didn't have to be on bed rest, but even if I had a complicated pregnancy, where I had to be on bed rest, I still would have done school, albeit online public school.

Michelle: I graduated with my Masters' degree on May 18th. My husband, my son, and my parents came to the ceremony. I posted on Instagram a picture in my regalia, holding my diploma cover. I'll be getting my diploma in the mail in like 8 weeks.

Do you just hate it when lines come from fan fics, not actual rejected lines from ASOUE itself (also ATWQ).
Klaus: "But, Nero, that's not really-" Nero: "Silence! That is authentic Windows Vista, right there!" Violet: "But that's not the best-" Nero: "Silence, yet again! It is as good as my violin pieces!" Sunny: "Longhorn!" (meaning "My sister tried it once, and it was horrible!") Nero: "Can't you JUST STOP!? That is the best Windows OS, period! I SERIOUSLY wanted Microsoft Bob, but they didn't sell any around Prufrock Prep. Alas, Vista to the rescue!"
No wonder it had a bad time spotting Count Olaf.

Do you just hate it when lines come from fan fics, not actual rejected lines from ASOUE itself (also ATWQ). This has been a fanfic thread for a very long time. It's true the name 'Rejected' doesn't quite fit that, but that's what the thread is well known for.
