It is one of the best sounds in the world.

I crack my knuckles and neck frequently but always subconsciously. People used to comment on it sometimes, but now they don't, so either I do it way less or people have become more accepting.

I can crack all my fingers and toes (and my back) but I don't do it that often. As an alternative to knuckle-cracking, I like to crack the distal interphalangeal joints in my fingers instead of the metacarpophalangeal joints, which tend to hurt instead of feel good. I like cracking both of these, but word to the wise, I personally wouldn't use the big fancy names to avoid sounding like a pretentious douche. (Also, if you're getting a lot of pain from that, I would suggest seeking medical help maybe. It seems like it could be problematic?) I also like cracking my wrists, ankles, elbows, knees, all my toes, at both points, My back in every place, my neck (which has begun to hurt oops), and my shoulders. The most impressive thing I can crack is my earlobes, a skill taught to me by my father. At first it seems like fun, but it starts to grow painful after a while, and it's mildly unpleasant.

(Also, if you're getting a lot of pain from that, I would suggest seeking medical help maybe. It seems like it could be problematic?) Agreed. Oh, wow...I had no idea that cracking your earlobes was possible! It never occurred to me that they even contained the proper joints/bones/etc. If I recall correctly, when I was in middle school, cracking one's fingers was the in thing. I remember my brother, best friend and I all did it; my brother used to drive my mom nuts. XD When I was still taking anti-depressants, one of the side effects was that my jaw would crack every time I yawned. It was annoying not only because it was uncomfortable, but because my boyfriend at the time commented once, as though it was something I could control. Thankfully I was able to get off the medication (which by then had stopped working, and that I was only taking because I'd become dependent), and my jaw problem went away.

I used the big names because I didn't feel like giving a rambling description of what I was trying to talk about. (Also, I don't get a lot of pain, it's just not easy to do subconsciously, so it's uncomfortable to try and do it that often.)

How do you say earlobes in German?
Also, Anka, I received an advent calendar in the mail yesterday from my dad (which was odd cause i've never had one before), and I could tell by the drawings it was European, so I flipped it over and it said it was from Germany. It made me think of you x2!
