After suffering from a prolonged bout of the tummy troubles recently, I finally had some time to relax about the house and eventually ended up running my book well dry. Since I am a relatively picky bibliophile, it is much more cumbersome than you may think for me to find a score of suitable reading material once my previous assortment is dead and gone; and so, resorting to desperate measures in light of the desperate times, I made a clandestine trip one weekend to what one may call a hipster bookstore. There I found an unexpected treasure. In fact, I'd venture to say they are some of the best books I've ever read. Introducing the astonishing brilliance of Walter Moers. Basically, all of his novels are set in a "lost" continent called Zamonia that features a bounty of extraordinary creatures, cities, landmarks, myths, and other stimulatingly spellbinding fabrications. While I understand that the series is very popular in its native Germany, I don't exactly know how popular, so it's debatable whether Anka has heard of it or not. Thankfully, that debate can be easily ended simply by asking, Anka Anwhistle M, have you heard of it? Have you read it?? And speaking of Germany, a large portion of the franchise has never been recreated in English-speaking countries, due to the fact that it is predominantly obscure and unpopular in every place but Europe. This means that as long as I have no grasp of the German language whatsoever, I will never be able to enjoy the suspiciously untranslated second installment of the series, Ensel und Krete, nor will I ever truly be able to appreciate all the blurbs in this year's "Zamonien wallkalender." For my fellow anglophones who are understandably intrigued by these fantastic books, however, the majority of the novels have been translated. All of these titles can be seen above in English, excluding a shorter tale called The Alchemaster's Apprentice which also looks extremely promising but which I have not been able to track down yet. So get to your nearest bookstore or library or online seller! Get reading-- and thank me later! thinking about revenge and such can be really satisfying. Especially if you write or draw something to express your anger--it helps you get it out. Great art can be created from strong negative emotions. But maybe it's just fear of consequences that holds me back from actually taking revenge. Or laziness. That name came to me in a dream and it just felt rightyeah, I was bored, while taking the ACT this morning, so I though it would be cool to make pictures of 667ers as nuns, I give you,. Sister PJ! AwW, BSam's a shexy nun too! and Eggo, and Kyle.. and when will I stop!?? "We are all prostitutes! Everyone has their price!" i miss filnengottlin, catastophist, bert (still on discord tho, ewok was kinda funny, sevensorrows, baticeeer, and a few more spyfall baddies edit: i miss marlowe ): hotel denouement. boxers or briefs?

Well Tragedy are you gonna clean up the forum or what because if not I am gonna leave and it is not helpful pointing out that crazylemon messed something up because I don't think it was her fault at all no affense trag and if I am one of the so called "factors" then maybe I should leave if you clean up the forum I'll stay (I do not mean to be rude an any way trag and i am really sorry I f I have affended you but thats what I needed to say and am willing to help clean up the forum only if you want me too) I could talk about my day, but giving any meaning to it would require divulging more personal information than I care to in a public forum, so just assume that I spent the day sneaking into secret labs through formal wear parties held in the same building and stealing Rembaldi artifacts before returning home without even letting my wig become escew. I wouldn't care to live in a vegetative state Iowa? In these songs I borrowed from my friend there are lots of asoue coincidences. "Grab on to my sleeve, the one that grabs your ankle" is a prominent one. And they also mention fire a lot. There are more but I'll save them for later. I'm straight, although Tragedy thinks I'm bisexual. He just wishes I was. you say that like he knows who you are SOME OF OUR NEWER MEMBERS AREN'T IN COLLEGE. DON'T RUSH IT, COLLEGE GOES BY SO MUCH FASTER THAN HIGH SCHOOL There definitely seems to have been a change of mind about the start of the schism, so I think the most valuable clues are the most recent ones... And if we go by that, Olaf didn't start to schism... Much too young to do it. The only really valuable piece of evidence still existing regarding that theory is Jacques' comment to Jérôme in his letter in LSUA. But remember that Jérôme had no idea what VFD was all about at that time, so Jacques may have been forced to "simplify" historical ideas, or even aggravate the truth to convince Jérôme more efficiently. Fernald has hinted that Jacques wasn't one of the purest VFDers existing, after all. Kit in TPP (I think) says 'in every generation the schism gets worse and worse'. So it's possible Jacques is referring, not to the original schism, but to a worsening. (Jacques also refers to 'a recent schism' in his article about Fernald's defection, quoted in TGG; this, again, might refer to a worsening, and that would actually be very appropriate, as the conflict which led to Anwhistle Aquatics being destroyed seems to have been a secondary conflict about how to respond to the evil side.) This idea is inspired by Dante, though he should not be held responsible for it. I think some of the disputes in VFD must have been about this - again, we know that Gregor wanted to fight fire with fire, and Kit opposed him - but I have a different idea about the original conflict. Lemony refers at one point to 'a volunteer organisation which was riddled with corruption'. I think a Volunteer Fire Department would have lots of opportunities for corruption - they could take bribes from property owners to keep a special eye on their property; they could take bribes from villains not to chase them; and so on. So if some people were using VFD as a cover for corrupt practices, and then they were found out, this would lead to a schism as they were thrown out, and began to operate on their own. Other bad VFDers we meet are your namesake, Dr Orwell, and Ernest Denouement. The sense I get is that the bad side don't normally work as a group - they are independent villains who share the symbol, and co-operate from time to time. The two senior villains have some kind of oversight over them, but it doesn't look as if they actually direct their operations on a regular basis.

I also believe Snape is a vampire. I believe Lupin was trying to get revenge on Severus when he assigned a Vampire essay right after Snape assigned a werewolf essay. Quirrell was trying to stop Snape from being around him to ask him if he'd found out what he needed to know. remember, Quirell saying that Snape was swooping around like an "overgrown bat" ? Also, in Book 4 Ron asks, "Is there anyway Snape could have gotten to the grounds faster than you and dumbledore?" Harry replies, "Not unless he can turn into a bat or something." Ron then jokes, "Wouldn't put it past him." CONSTANT VIGILANCE! When Ron jokes he's usually right! He's joked about someting that has come true in almost every book. Also note that Harry and He-who-must-not-be-named now share a common blood protection. If Snape sucked Harry's blood (no, Harry wouldn't become a vampire, contrary to popular belief) than Snape, Harry, and Voldie would share it. That might result in some interesting plot lines. Hagrid and Madame Maxime were sent as envoys to the giants who are one of the creatures/part-humans that Voldie said he would try to get on his side. Could Voldie want to aim for the vampires as well. Was Snape, not sent as a spy, but as an envoy to other vampires? It would be impossible to be a spy again because Voldie already knows that Snape is on Dumbledore's side and Voldie can "smell deceit". (much like a snake...) when i was in brisbane there was a crazy drugs man with an eyepatch on the train going from person to person telling this story about how a man came into his home the night before and stabbed out his eye and then asking for money, and he'd clearly been missing the eye for years. Ernest: I've taken the walk of shame many times in high school and college. But it wasn't a walk of shame. It was a stride of pride. The walk of shame is for girls. My sister Michelle took the walk of shame at 15 when she was at band camp, after a one-night stand with a guy she hardly knew. My first stride of pride was when I was 14. It was with my then-girlfriend, Elizabeth Squalor. ******* His account of how he met Stephin Merritt is interesting. Brought together by books! Could the meeting have happened in Stain'd? Weirdly enough here in the UK I just got an election poll thing in today saying I should vote for my local council. I have no idea who any of the folk are. I couldn't care less! I TALKED TO SHERRY ANN. And she can def join us now because she has a google plus account. OK, last time I posted on this the machine ate my post. Let's try again. The first set of answers reminded me of Flannery Culp and her efforts to avoid ending a sentence with a preposition. (I believe no recognised authority on grammar maintains this rule; it just continues as a folk tradition.) I get the sense that this devotion to arbitrary rules of grammar (some of which are not really grammar, but style) is a distinctive feature of the American education system. In 2A 'But' has been replaced by 'However'; but while some people object to sentence-initial 'But', others object to sentence-initial 'However', and yet others, including a copy-editor I had to deal with recently, object to both. 2 is clearly from 'Troublesome Ghost', 9 from 'Bad Gang', 11 from 'Ransom Note', and 12 from 'Pinched Creature'. 4 is from the one that was plagiarised not in any way copied from Gladwell. I'm particularly fascinated by 'Yamgraz' in 3 and by the figure of Tatiana in 5. And 1 really puzzles me. Dante seems to confirm that the character L is looking at is Ellington. But when could this be? He met her shortly after arriving in Stain'd, didn't see her again until the events of WDYSHL, and then didn't see her again for some time, not until his finger had healed, although he was in trouble again - which I would take to refer to the next main episode (possibly when he is in prison for burning the library down). Very mysterious! I am Going to attack This site and soon you Will All be at my Mercy.

Sometimes I think about how guys have things better and wish it was that way for girls too, but I've never actually contemplated what it'd be like to be a guy. It'd just be...weird. Guys are stronger and can get high-paying jobs more easily and all that stuff, but I don't care, I couldn't stand being one. Bring a girl is just a ton better, at least in my opinion. I can't explain how, but it just is. mummy and daddy keeping you safe from the scary world where a person on their own may need the government help which everyone who needs it is entitled to? i don't want my parents tax dollars and my future inheritance to go towards these druggies and homeless people, they should kick the habit and get a job i say "Would the world ever have been made if its maker had been afraid of making trouble? Making life means making trouble. Theres only one way of escaping trouble; and thats killing things. Cowards, you notice, are always shrieking to have troublesome people killed." That's Pygmalion. "That morning I had tried to hang myself. I had taken the silk cord of my mother's yellow bathrobe as soon as she left for work, and, in the amber shade of the bedroom, fashioned it into a know that slipped up and down in itself. It took me a long time to do this, because I was poor at knots and had no idea how to make a proper one." Hint: This women only wrote one novel during her life, the rest were poetry. Hi to all! I was pondering upon user names that I would later use for the forum, when it finally hit me: LIMEY SNICKET!! Well, we all see that my "creation" didn't make it through, but my creLAMEation one has. You see, I have quite a secret OBSESSION toward the lives of gypsies (go figure!!). I own an Associate's Degree in Snicketism; however, through this board - - and, hopefully, with the help of fellow members - - would make that sucka into a PhD. I truly hope and wish to be welcomed by you all, and am looking forward to the future conversations. ;D it makes sense that there is 3 of her. one of the three is a man. There is ONE Lady GaGa and she is a WOMAN. Looks like you hit Quote rather than Modify there, csc! I fixed it for you. As for "my silence knot," see if you can think of any names in the series with those letters in them. Really really obvious names. And did you notice that the punch-out letters are the same as the letters hidden in each of the twelve letters in the book? Not that that helps you figure out what they spell, but looking at one side of the poster should give you a clue. MYSILENCEKNOT---- LEMONYSNICKET. But what does this mean? but here's my number, so call me maybe.
