Highlights of Oxford event:
DH told an anecdote I had never heard before, but now I’ve forgotten what it was.
DH pronounced “bombinating” wrong.
DH made a holocaust joke.
DH says the book he’s been planning was inspired by a visit to a private sculpture garden in the home of a rich old textile(?) manufacturer, whom he never saw, but he was told that he was “within earshot.”
Also, american kids be like: “suzzuvvuffuchunutuvints”
while british kids be like: “eɪ ˈsɪəriːz ɒv ʌnˈfɔːtjʊnət ɪˈvɛnts”
