Ok....here is a picture of the front of my really crappy(well, it is on the inside) school. Accually, that's only the right side of it. The other side is just like that one except it has another school coming out of it.

the older bathrooms in the lower school are gross but the new ones in the middle school and hte gym are nice. they're getting a new addition that looks like a generic school so it looks out of place.

Pretty, or ugly. Depending on how you look at it. Not seen in this picture are little panels way up on the third floor where nobody can see them which have pictures from the zodiac, making it slightly less austere looking. A park, Lake George, and a public pool are right across the street. But we are generally not supposed to go there during school. Most of the teachers are either really young and badly paid or really old and tenured. The budget keeps getting cut, to the point where we have to pay ridiculous activity fees and broken chairs and sinks don't get fixed for months. They keep the front of the building and the bottom floor looking all pretty and equipped with cameras and tv screens for the parents. Student wise, ten years ago it was all white country kids (like me), than it moved on to semi-inner city-ish people and suburbanites, now it's all three of those and somalian refugees. They have the unfortunate triple wammy of being black, foreign, and a completely foreign religion (islamic). There are still some red-neck attitudes out there and occasionally fights between black ghetto kids and somalians- but all the other people stay out of it. The schooling system is pretty good. There are enough varieties of AP classes to keep someone from getting bored to death.

It was pre- Alfred Lloyd Wright, so they didn't really design it to be all ascetetic and such. there are some adornments, the artificial lake and park across the street, a memorial for random people, a statue of James J. Hill, and designs in the tiles. That kind of thing.
I'd prefer not to say which school I attend, but I live up north.

Um. That's the side of the top of, I think our Music and Arts building. That's our seal in the middle of the quad. That's the back of.. one of the buildings. Yeah those are the best pictures I have. It's gorgeous when they turn on the lights in the quad.

I wonder what people will conclude when they find our building in hundreds of years- that students were the most highly valued in this community and have the prettiest building, that this community is too spartan to make anything all decorative, and that this other community didn't have any children, because it doesn't have a school?
Edit: Oh, and it's reeeealy pretty. Archeologists will probably conclude that your school was for the rich and famous.

Pandora's school is awesome. My school is really pretty in person..its really tiny, only one building, all the other schools that have 1000 students have up to 5 buildings...but we just use other peoples hockey rinks, etc.

Thanks everyone.. it's better in color, one of the reasons I wanted to go to the school was because it was so pretty. We take a bit of sick pleasure in the fact that our rivals school looks like a prison and ours is beautiful.
I can beleive that.. because I know girls that get all kinds of cars from their parents. Meh, I've got a truck.

I don't think anyone in my family has ever used a car that's less than ten years old. Why spend money just to impress people?

Villa Victoria is much stricter than my school and its got these scary but decorated cast iron gates and it looks like a palace but lawrenceville prep is a boarding school and its got trees. most of the private schools in my area are boarding schools. the closest we have to a boarding school is a house for the headmistress. i love this window you can see the seasons changing so she always looks differnt this is a Jesus column. it has some inscription somewhere on it
