Why does everyone insist on constantly calling each other racist for having unique opinions? This is stupid. The only clear reason I can see for someone using the word "racist" to accuse someone else is when he/she doesn't have anything better to argue. By now I'm sure everyone's been called racist at some point in their lives (what with how often people are attacking each other with it). Now the word seems to be defined as "anyone who disagrees with me". Which is just pathetic. Sorry, but it is.

I miss the days when life was simple, and cares were few and far between.

I remember you, Snicket! You probably don't remember me, because I only posted occasionally and went inactive early 2007. But I've sort of come back (or at least lurk around it somewhat). It's changed without the books. Seems to be very fanfic-centered. And I just don't have much desire to read all of them (no offense to all you hard-working writers - I'm sure they are wonderful) so I just post once in a while.
But I had no clue you were posting with a fake identity. Maybe that's because I didn't pay attention to people's personal info or I was just naive. It was about 5 years ago, and I've changed a lot since then.

Firefox! ;D
I used to use Internet Explorer until the dreaded version 8 was released (notorious with me for it's pathetic scrolling issues when posting on message boards) so I switched to Firefox. Like it much better! Chrome is a little too different for me and it's not really any faster, so I'll stick with Firefox.

Every argument I have read against gay marriage is derived from the Bible, but the problem is, not every American citizen is a Christian. The separation of church as state is an important part of American society. Hooky- I respect your belief that American society must be kept moral for the purpose of salvation, but this belief cannot simply be pressured on everyone. Religion is a choice in American society. No one is forced or pressured to worship one specific religion, or any religion at all if they choose not to. Religious arguments against gay marriage shouldn't ever be considered viable arguments because of the separation of church and state. As a former Christian, I realize that a Christians 'main goal' (if you'll call it that) is the eternal life in heaven. The marriage of others shouldn't effect a person's personal life. If you don't believe in gay marriage, simply don't get one. Yes. This is the dilemma. Ultimately it comes down to how true my beliefs are. I also don't belief religion should be forced on anyone, but it's discouraging to me to see trends like this taking place while knowing that all that can constitutionally be done about it is to sit back and watch helplessly.

Congratulations! This also makes me realize just how long I've been here. I swear you had already been a member here when I joined, but apparently not.
