Seriously, degrading a movie because of a gay (or lesbian, I'm not going to bother being politically correct) actress is like degrading a Robin Williams movie because he has ADHD (am I right there?). It just doesn't matter. But then this gets into the whole issue of "is gay right or wrong, or somewhere in between?"

If the actress for Dory on Finding Nemo is gay, it shouldn't matter.
And it dosn't make sense anyway because when you say something is gay it means it must have a sexuality but how can a film have a sexuality, Wether its straight or Gay.

I also hate it when boys call each other "girls" when they cant or wont do something. Just because they cannot do something dosnt mean that they are a girl. Also does that mean that girls cant and wont do anything?
Thankyou for reading!!!! Luv Phoebe

GRRRRRRRRR..... Prejudice is SO wrong!! Is anybody else besides me driven crazy by the KKK? I have a friend in the KKK...well, I thought she was my friend anyway, but thats a different story. My sister says things are GAY when they are stupid, and one day I caught myself saying my math homework was, "gay." Am I a horrible person?

But you're really saying "Ghey"(usually meaning stupid or lame) which is something I say too...it has nothing to do with homosexuals, who I love, by the way ^__^

I know we can't get people to stop saying "gay" as an adjective (and it usually has nothing to do with homosexuals), so we should just change the spelling... Hmm. Something to think about

I also hate it when boys call each other "girls" when they cant or wont do something. Just because they cannot do something dosnt mean that they are a girl. Also does that mean that girls cant and wont do anything? That's something I've run across in both my online and mundane lives, and it always annoys me hugely. In other online fora I've read and participated in, certain jerks -- obviously intending it as a devastating insult -- will call a male poster by a feminine nickname (calling a Timothy "Tillie", for instance, or a Klaus "Karla"). It's as if they're thinking, "I'm so angry at you that I want to call you the worst thing I can think of! I'll call you POOPYHEAD! No, that's not bad enough, I'll call you LIAR! No, even that isn't enough. I want to call you the very worst, most evil and vile, most horrible thing in the world: I'll call you WOMAN!" Years ago a movie called "The D.I." was released, about a Marine drill instructor and the recruits he trains. The title character was shown as continually insulting and denigrating the young men in his charge, and one of worst names he called them was "you ladies". I was only in my teens when I saw that movie, but I remember thinking: "If 'ladies' is the worst, most insulting thing he can call them ... what does that make me?"

WOW. That is crazy. Well, through out history, and even today, quite a few men (I'm not saying anyone here) think that men are the stronger sex, and women are weaker. It has always been a pretty male dominated world. Not that there are no men who respect women, but you get what I mean. It has always been an insult to be called a little girl. Or "You throw like a girl". Because we are considred weaker. This is actually not true. If all the men in the world had to go through child birth, half of them would die. Kinda funny..........

Robin Williams has ADHD? I had no idea about that.. actually I just have more respect for him now then.
I love Ellen! She is so hilarious, so what if she's gay? Dory was still cute, she's still funny, it doesn't change anything.

This is an excerpt from an interview with Stephin Merritt, lead singer of The Magnetic Fields. It's an interesting statement about gay marriage. And then it goes on to show the adorable-ness that is Merritt and Handler.
STEPHIN MERRITT: "It continues to mystify me that Death Row prisoners can get married, as a civil right, but gay people cannot. They even have conjugal visits. I have a strange stain on my pants. It looks like devilled eggs."
DANIEL HANDLER: "It looks like pumpkin soup to me, which is more spillable, so more likely to be at ankle-level."

Using 'gay' as a derogatory word greatly annoys me, especially when I think about how my aunt's name, in fact, IS Gay and since she's a teacher she cannot wear name tags or anything of the sort because of it. Spectrum is the gay-straight alliance at my school, and recently we did a survey with teachers about how many times they heard the word "gay" used in a derogatory manner, and mostly it was freshmen who did it...it was interesting, none the less.
