Why are you all homeschooled? I think my friends are the key element to a good school day, personally. I wasn't always homeschooled; I went to public school for kindergarten, half of fourth grade, fifth grade, and half of sixth grade. In sixth grade I started to get really bad migraines, and so I became homeschooled again. It wasn't that I didn't like school...er, except for the things I didn't like...anyway, I have friends, some of whom are homeschooled also, so my homeschooled days aren't so bad either. Usually. To add a soupçon of ontopicness to this tangential post: Will there be a theme for this event, as with last year's?

I'm pretty sure I'll come. It sounds fun. I'd like a date, but I don't know if I'll be able to find one.

Well...for instance, I believe that the Grim Grotto Ball's theme was, like, underwater, or something like that. It's just - instead of it being simply an event, "hey, come to this thread it's a party for the next book," "hey, come to this thread party in your oceanic attire we're serving seafood and doing The Swim in honor of The Grim Grotto." Or something like that. I'm not very good at explaining things. So for this ball the theme could be hotels or disguises or power tools or elevators or what, I don't know. It's a bit hard because we don't know a lot about Book the Twelfth and won't until after it's released, but I was still wondering.

How about ASOUE in general? Like you could come as your fave ASOUE charicter. We could have like foods from the series, such as salmon *hint hint*, and we could dance and stuff. When would it be schedualed? And at what time?
Meh....... no one's gonna date me........ I'll PM my few friends on this site and see if they can join me.

Okay, then. Come to this ball, we'll be serving Indian food, Lox, Aqueous Martini's, Coconut Cream Cake, Puttanesca. We'll also( if George still wants to) be hosting the final of the alphabet awards. Dress in bellhop attire, or in disguise, whichever works for you.

Since it's a mystery/nameless thing, why not have mystery dates? People who want a date can PM someone in charge of matching people up. There could be clues as to who your date is and you would have to guess. Sort of like the Secret Santas last Christmas. What do you think?

The flaw in that, is that you might get picked to go with someone you don't like.

Yes. There's always that chance.

But it could be a chance to get to know them better.
And I'll try and sheduale the final of the alphabet awards for the date in question.

Cheers. I suppose we could implement that system, but that's just a maybe.

I wouldn't mind being the matchmaker if that's so.

Yep, okay. Gigi's idea will be implemented, and George, you will be the matchmaker.
