I like the match-making idea. Instead of making a new account, we could just change our name, but them someone could just look at the profile to see who it is. Sounds very cool anyway.

I'd probably be around for the ball. Theres no one I'd like to be my "date" though.
If you're going to do the matchmaker thing Dupin or someone could send clues on behalf of each participant and everything could be revealed when this starts.

Hooray.
nina, the answer to your question is that I'll be matchmaking who sign up to be match-make..red.
Should I make a seperate thread for all the match-making? I'll make it at a closer date to the Ball, I think. And all the accounts can be deleted after the ball, so it'll only be clogged up for a day or so.

I just came up with another idea... what if, for the maskerade part, we did make seperate accounts only for the night (or we could keep the account after as a back-up or if we really liked having another account) and we gave the account a login-name and pictures that might give us clues to see who we are when we come disguised?
Yeah, if you made another thread about the match-making, we could just post in it until the ball or whatever and you could just PM the people who posted in the thread to see who was our date.

Wait, if we're making separate accounts and then being matched up for dates, how will our date know which one of the anonymous people we are? Using both those ideas doesn't make any sense.

Wait, if we're making separate accounts and then being matched up for dates, how will our date know which one of the anonymous people we are? Using both those ideas doesn't make any sense. We could tell the matchmaker what our masquerade screen name will be, and then he'll tell us what our partners new s/n is. Then, partway through, people can guess who it is they're with, based on PM clues and what they've seen at the ball. If we do it this way, then even people who aren't interested to come with a date can have fun with mystery-type stuff, by trying to figure out the identity of other unpartnered members.

Alright, when you say it like that, I'm convinced.

These all seem like confusing great ideas. Have we set an official date yet?

I'm already wearing an official VFD cow disguise. Should I wear a costume on top of that? Maybe I could come as a pound of butter. . . ;D ;D

That's a great idea. Hey, maybe we could call the butter you'd be wearing 'Dairy Spreadable'.
