Is it okay if I mini-hijack this thread and ask what everyone's desktops are? NO IMAGES. ONLY LINKS. We don't want to make the 56k users die. Mine. The image on it is from the site mentioned--it's of Walker, Zizz and a cake. So cute. Hack mine and you'll notice that your head gets sawed off. BUT SERIOUSLY, DON"T HACK THIS! IT IS NOT MY OWN PC!

Going back to the Word thingy: Micro$oft Word 2002, by itself, takes up 180MB of disk space. That's not counting all the additional clipart, etc. Starting with all of the Office (and Windows) 2002 (XP) products, they have to be activated so M$ can be sure you, and only you, are using the software, on only one, and only one, computer. Switching back: My dad said next time we buy a computer, he'll consider a Mac. Failing that, I'd like to build a PC for gaming, with both Linux and Windows 95. (OSR2.1, for specifics for you techie types.) Yes, 95, it's the last version of Windows that didn't have Internet Explode--er, Internet Explorer permanently integrated. 98 is crap, ME is crappier, and the efforts by M$ to make XP more user-friendly make it the crappiest. I would use Windows 2000, but it's impossible to code anything with it. Switching back again: I have a Gateway 500S from spring 2002. Very nice machine for $1400. The only problem is having only 128MB of memory, a 20GB hard drive, and the graphics card (GeForce2 MX 400) can't run Doom 3. *sniff* Oh well, it blazes through Quake 2. My Windows profile is about as tricked-out as you can get. It also looks exactly like Windows 2000. Screenshot to come. I'd like to get an Alienware Aurora. It's kind of an image thing over the Dell XPS - "I have an Alienware" sounds better than "I have a Dell," don't you think?

THIS THREAD. *dies* <--- This seems to happen a lot when Dr. Roboto's around... Hmmm... I have some Hewlett Pacard thing from last year with windows XP. *shrug* I won't post my desktop as I'm lazy. It's just a bunch of Harry Potter images spliced together by someone who had a really cool website but took it down. Yup.

C'mon people. Don't insult my Mac I loff it, actually... it's very easy to use, good for visual people, 'cause you can organize things really easily into folders where you can always find them. My iMac is a pretty color, and my keyboard is black (yay). And even though Macs have faults, they're really easy to work with... and they're aesthetically pleasing on both the outside and on the screen.
