My mum: "You have *unintelligible* pie. *unintelligible* pie. You have puttanesca pie. Puttanesca sauce. Isn't that what they have in Unfortunate Events?"
This was after an ASOUE-related meltdown (long story) and I was still feeling rather weak/exhausted. Good timing, Ma. 😐 And it was NOT puttanesca pie, btw.

Had to clean the break room at work the other day. Seriously, whose idea was it to melt a block of cheese in the microwave?! Ugh. And I thought my coworkers were slobs, microwaving stuff without covering it and not cleaning up the splatters.

Is it regressive to eat food marketed as for kids?I work at a supermarket and during my lunch break I sometimes find myself getting something like one of those fruit puree pouches or veggie puffs/straws, just to name a couple of examples.

of course ! it's super simple (and cheap to make), so if you ever need to go to a birthday party or something and have to bring a plate to share it's really yum. kind of like the dutch hagelslag but im sure americans aren't too familiar with that either ! Ms. twigz , I just learned about something called fairy bread. It's bread with butter and sprinkles. It's apparently common in New Zealand and Australia. Have you ever tried it?
